James Rann, runner-up in the GUKPT Luton High Roller yesterday, recently took his seat in the Main Event and is straight into the action.
In the first of two consecutive hands, Rann saw his opponent raise to 300 from the button, and the small blind called. Rann 3-bet to 1,600 and saw both opponents fold.
Next up, Rann 3-bet to 1,500 from the small blind after the button player had raised to 300. They went to a 
flop, and Rann's 1,600 bet was called. Rann fired for 3,300 on the 
turn and saw his opponent open-fold

and Neophytos Neophytou called from the hijack. The 
fell on the turn and Neophytou check-called a 2,800 bet from Hills. Neophytou checked again on the 
river before Hills paused for 30 seconds and then bet 10,000, which Neophytou snap called.

Timothy Chung won the GUKPT Luton High Roller yesterday for a £34,350 score after coming through a 59 player field and a heads-up battle against James Rann.
Rann walked away with £22,350 for his efforts, and Jacob Mulhern took third place for £15,100.
Matt Davenport, Tom Hall, Ryan Mandara and Terry Jordon were among the other players to reach the final table.
Earlier this year in London, Chung defeated a record GUKPT 702-player field to take home £185,560.
