Frey Gets Pipped

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante
Martyn Frey
Martyn Frey

Martyn Frey opened to 300 and Robert Douras three-bet to 1,200 from the big blind. Frey called, and then check-called 1,000 on the {7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Frey check-called 1,700.

The river was the {4-Spades} and both players checked. Frey showed {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for two pair, nines and fours, but Douras held {j-Spades}{9-Spades} and took the pot with a jack kicker.

Trigg Up and Running

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Richard Trigg raised to 300 in the hijack and the cutoff called. The pair checked the {j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop and Trigg check-called 900 on the {4-Spades} turn.

The pair then checked the {9-Diamonds} river with the cutoff showing {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. However, Trigg had flopped a piece of the board with {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and took down an early pot.
