Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

Niall Farrell and Jeremy Saderne were all-in versus each other on the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop. Saderne, who was at risk of elimination, had flopped a set of sixes while farrell had a huge combo draw with his {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

The {j-Clubs} was a safe card but the {10-Hearts} gave Farrell a flush to win the pot and seal the knockout.

Action was on a {3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop with Grosvenor Pro Katie Swift checking to an opponent who bet 6,100. Brett Davies flat-called on the button before Swift check-raised all in for around 16,000.

The first player folded but Davies called putting Swift at risk.

Katie Swift: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Brett Davies: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Swift was outkicked and received no help on the {4-Clubs}{8-Hearts} runout, heading to the rail in one of the first hands of the day.

Just 187 players from three starting flights have made it through to the next stage with Renee Xie sitting a top of the chip counts with an impressive stack of 261,000, which she amassed on Day 1a.

Steve Jelinek (240,000) and Timothy Chong (120,000) ended up with the most chips after the conclusion of Day 1b and Day1c, respectively.

There have been 659 entries across the three starting flights, which has seen the prize pool swell to an impressive £733,700. Late Registration is open until Day 2 begins, so there is every chance that figure could inflate even more.

Grosvenor Poker Pros Jamie Nixon, Katie Swift and Jamie Nixon also found themselves hitting the rail across Days 1a, 1b and 1c. However, Grosvenor Poker 2021 National League Champion Euan McNicholas (59,700) faired a little better and takes an above average stack into Day 2.

World Series of Poker Bracelet winners Niall Farrell (72,900), Barny Boatman (70,000) and Richard Ashby (42,100) all managed to bag and tag a stack to the next stage. In addition, PokerStars ambassadors Chris Da Sliva (97,100) and Kelly Saxby (63,300) also will be in attendance for Day 2.

Today's proceedings will see another 10 60-minute levels play out with blinds resuming at 600/1,200/1,200.
