Xie Down From Peak; Jelinek Soaring

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Renee Xie started the day as chip leader and saw a flop with Adam Bonham. She check-called 5,000 on {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and 10,000 on the {j-Spades} turn.

The pair checked the {9-Diamonds} river and Bonham showed {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Xie mucked and fell to just over 200,000 in chips.

Meanwhile Steve Jelinek appears to be close to 300,000 chip after chipping up over the opening level and a half.

Ashraf Runs Queens into Kings

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Martins Adeniya opened to 3,500 on his first hand at a new table. Waheed Ashraf three-bet to 10,000 and action was back on Adeniya.

"I've got a very big hand," said Ashraf, with Adeniya then opting to four-bet all in. Ashraf called for around 45,000.

Martins Adeniya: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Waheed Ashraf: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Ashraf wasn't lying about having a big hand, but unfortunately for him Adeniya's was bigger. The board ran out clean coming {j-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Ashraf was eliminated.

P D: {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Jack Loraine: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Loraine's ace-high reigned supreme after the {q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades} runout.

Jordon Hands Over Chips to Lodge

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

With 25,000 chips in the middle already, Terry Jordon check-called 10,500 from Harry Lodge on the {3-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and Jordan checked again. Lodge bet 27,500 and Jordon called quickly again.

The river was the {a-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

"You win," said Jordon, with Lodge tabling {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Jordon open-mucked {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Lodge took down the pot.

"Look what you've done now," said tablemate Fraser MacIntyre. "You've given him chips!"

Jaswal and Law Battle

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Yudhishter Jaswal opened to 3,600 from the button before calling Chun Law's 11,000 three-bet from the small blind.

The {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop checked through to the {10-Diamonds} turn where Law check-called a bet of 18,000. Jaswal sized up to 53,000 on the {5-Hearts} and Law quickly called. Jaswal turned over his {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the winner in a huge pot.

Also on their table is GUKPT regular Leon Campbell who has a stack of around 200,000.
