Craig Trost defended big blind for a raise to 1,200 and check-called down on 
, putting in 1,100 then 2,400 before facing an all-in river bet. His opponent had set him at risk for his last 11,200, and Trost folded fairly quickly.

"That's a good hand," Trost said.
On Day 1a, Prince Gaspard was off to the races with around 175,000 at a time most players were happy to have two starting stacks. Unfortunately for the former bracelet winner, it all went south from there and he wound up busto around the final break.
He's here for Day 1b and once again heating up early with around 60,000.

and Amalim Onyia check-raised all in from the big blind for Pupillo's last 9,000 or so. Pupillo shook his head and splashed in a couple of chips. Onyia slid forward 
for quads and Pupillo tabled 
and left with a "nice hand."

Keith Thurman bet 3,000 into about 6,000 from middle position on 
and Michael Hudson called from under the gun. On the 
turn, Hudson checked and Thurman bet 15,000, nearly all of Hudson's chips. He gave it up in short order and then got a rack set in front of him to rebalance a table the staff was opening.
"Noooo," lamented Andy Rogowski. "Skip him, I'll give you $20."
He playfully told Hudson he played "so bad" but Hudson gave the needles right back as he headed to his new locale.
