Roberts Down a Shell Before Break

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante
Shawn Roberts
Shawn Roberts

Jim Juvancic was big blind and made either a bet or raise to 2,500 on a {6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} flop, which Shawn Roberts called from late position. Both players checked the {a-Diamonds} turn, bringing a {9-Diamonds}. Juvancic shoved and Roberts snap-called his last 7,000 or so.

Juvancic had {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} for the nut full house, while Roberts tabled {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} and headed for the door.

Players are on their first break of the day.

Roberts and Hudson Sinking at Table 2

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante
Michael Hudson
Michael Hudson

On a completed board of {7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, Michael Alexander checked in the big blind and Michael Hudson thought a bit and bet 5,200, just under the size of the pot. Alexander called after thinking briefly.

"Two pair?" Hudson half-questioned, showing {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

It was no good as Alexander had better two with {j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

The next hand, Shawn Roberts put in a reraise to 3,200 from under the gun after a number of players were in for 700. Only Gary Leibovitz, on the button, called. The flop came {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and Robert bet 3,200. Leibovitz raised to 8,200 and Roberts instantly called. On the {6-Clubs} turn, Roberts checked and folded to a shove worth about 16,000 effective.

Rogowski Coolered

Level 3 : 100/300, 0 ante

On a completed board of {5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}{k-Hearts}{a-Spades}, Andy Rogowski and Robert Constable each put in 4,500, though we didn't see who did the betting. Constable turned over {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for a flopped boat and Rogowski could only curse and show his {5-Hearts}, lamenting his poor luck.

Tobias Fires a Cold Four

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

A player opened for 400 early, another player made it 1,200 in middle position and John Tobias fired in a cold four-bet to 3,600 on the button. Action folded back to the three-bettor, who mucked fairly quickly. Bryan Skreens cajoled Tobias to show but he dropped his cards in the muck.

Hudson Gets Some Value

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Multiple players saw the turn with {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{8-Spades} on the felt and Michael Hudson bet 1,000 into 2,500 from the hijack. Opponents in the cutoff and on the button called, and the river was a {k-Spades}. Hudson bet 1,000 again and only neighbor David McGowan called.

Hudson opened {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and took it down with the nut full house.
