Wazwaz Holds

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Rob Wazwaz bet 9,300 into a pot of about 12,000 on {5-Clubs}{a-Spades}{4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. A player in early position who had checked stuck in a pile of T5,000 chips to set Wazwaz at risk and he shrugged and quickly called off for 25,100 more.

Rob Wazwaz: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

It was Wazwaz's flush against a flopped set, and the {8-Diamonds} didn't pair the board to doom the Minnesota.

Schutten Versus Rieck

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Mike Rieck checked in the big blind on {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and Brek Schutten, back in on a reentry, bet 6,500 into about 12,000 from early position. A third player mucked but Rieck stuck around for the {7-Hearts} river. That card prompted him to come out betting with 6,500 and Schutten thought awhile before folding.

Will Givens just walked into the room to grab a seat. With over $2 million in tournament cashes, most notably a WSOP bracelet win in 2014, Givens is one of the most accomplished players firing Day 1b of HPT Ameristar East Chicago. He's also a former HPT champ from way back in 2009 in his home state of Colorado.

A few minutes later, Eric Salazar and Blake Whittington took seats as well. Two of the top players on the WSOP Circuit this season, both players are firing their first bullets of the weekend.

Ditrapani Sliding

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

In a four-way pot, Andrew Campbell bet 1,700 from early position on {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. Nicola Ditrapani called on his left and both blinds sent their cards to the muck. The {7-Hearts} turn checked through and Campbell fired in 3,200 on the {k-Clubs} river. Ditrapani folded in short order.
