Rogowski Backs Down

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Andy Rogowski
Andy Rogowski

With about 4,000 in the pot and {j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} on the felt, Andy Rogowski bet 1,600 from under the gun. Mariia Ievseieva made it 4,000 from the cutoff and Rogowski came back with 11,600. Ievseieva took some thinking time and splashed in 30,000. A grumbling Rogowski was forced to let it go.

Roberts Bluffs Off a Bunch

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Shawn Roberts bet 1,800 from middle position on {3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} and got one caller in the cutoff. On the {8-Spades} turn, Roberts slowed down with a check and then called 3,000. The river was the {7-Clubs} and Roberts came alive again with a big bet of 9,300. His opponent quickly called.

Roberts shook his head and showed {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a busted straight draw and he mucked it to {j-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for trips.

Ormson Shows One

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Michael Sabbia opened for 1,800 in the cutoff and got calls from both blinds. On the {10-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop, Larry Ormson checked, John Tobias bet 3,000 and Sabbia called. Ormson woke up with a big raise to 15,000 and Tobias quickly mucked. A frustrated Sabbia followed suit and Ormson showed the {q-Spades}.

Firebaugh Takes a Heap from Givens

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Taylor Firebaugh
Taylor Firebaugh

On a flop of {4-Hearts}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs}, heavy action followed between three players. A player on the button had 5,500 in front of him, with small blind Taylor Firebaugh having made it 15,500. Will Givens had either cold-called or put in the initial bet and been called, but either way he had calling chips in front. The player on the button folded and both Firebaugh and Givens checked the {2-Hearts}. On the {3-Hearts} river, Firebaugh bet 29,000.

Givens took awhile and then dropped in calling chips, but he couldn't beat {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} for a set.
