Noel Finds Miracle River

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Bobby Noel shoved all in from under the gun and action folded to Jason Pickup in the big blind. Pickup asked for a count, which was confirmed to be 84,000. He went deep into the tank and after about two minutes flung a chip in to signify the call.

Bobby Noel: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Jason Pickup: {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The players were off to the races, and the {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{a-Spades} flop had things looking great for Pickup. The turn brought the {j-Spades}, and Noel's tournament life was down to one card. Luckily, the river came {4-Clubs} and he hit his set to double up and stay alive.

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Stan Jablonski opened under the gun and called a shove from Kannan Chandran, who only had 87,500. He did have a strong hand, though: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}. Jablonski was ahead for the moment with {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} but the {5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs} runout favored his opponent.

Pheasant Dodges Bullets, Bubbles Krency

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Steve Pheasant
Steve Pheasant

Doug Krency check-called 65,000 from the small blind on a board of {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and the {j-Hearts} hit. Krency checked again and Steve Pheasant fired in 100,000 from early position. Krency shoved all in for about 160,000 and Pheasant was a bit distressed as he thought for about 15 seconds.

"I have to call," he said, throwing his hands in the air.

Doug Krency: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Steve Pheasant: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Pheasant was in fantastic shape though and faded the ace on the {k-Diamonds} river. Krency was slightly covered and hit the rail on the bubble.

Abel Finds Ladies

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Anthony McIe opened to 20,000 from early position and action folded around to Griffin Abel who defended his big blind. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Abel checked. McIe fired a continuation-bet of 22,000 and Abel made the call. The turn brought a {5-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {j-Clubs} river. Abel again checked, and McIe bet 35,000. Abel snap called, and hands were turned over.

Anthony McIe: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Griffin Abel: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Though McIe hit top pair on the river, it was no match for Abel's queens as he raked in the pot.
