Jablonski Sends One to Rail, Cripples Another

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Stan Jablonski
Stan Jablonski

We were called over after all the chips were in the middle in a three-way all-in preflop between Ray Joll, Ricky Ali, and Stan Jablonski.

Ray Joll: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}
Ricky Ali: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Stan Jablonski: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

Noise was made among the table as the {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop came, giving Jablonski a set. The turn came a {k-Hearts}, giving Ali outs to Broadway and a flush, but the river was the {q-Spades} and Jablonski secured the massive pot.

Becker Wins Three-Bet Pot

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Joe Ebanks opened to 12,000 from early position and action folded around to Kelly Becker who three-bet to 27,000 from the small blind. Ebanks called and the two saw a flop of {j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Becker looked down at her stack, counted it to be 85,000 and announced she was all in. Ebanks folded and Becker took down the pot.

Bowersock Trying to Run it Back

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Mark Bowersock paid out a double to Bobby Noel on his right when pocket sevens were felled by {a-}{9-} on a {9-}{9-}{2-} flop. Just after that, Bowersock ripped in his last 37,000 and Penny Banhidy shoved right behind him to fold everyone else out.

Mark Bowersock: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Penny Banhidy: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The {2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{a-Diamonds} flop paired Bowersock but he still needed more help. The {8-Hearts} didn't do it but the {j-Diamonds} river did.

Gruseck Doubles Through Janes

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

We didn't see when the money went in, but Nathan Janes just sent a double to James Gruseck. Gruseck had flopped top pair with {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} on a {10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{2-Spades} board, while Janes had flopped a gutter and flush draw with {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and turned a pair only to brick the river. He sent over 74,400.

Welcome to Day 2 of HPT The Meadows

Joe Ebanks
Joe Ebanks

Three starting flights are in the books and it's finally time for all of the players in HPT The Meadows $1,100 Main Event to combine under one roof and battle it out at the felt.

Out of 345 entries, 56 remain, and 36 of those will be paid. That means the bubble still needs to burst, though it should happen early.

Plenty of strong competitors remain. Foremost among those in terms of chip count is Andy Spears, who turned in an absolutely monstrous performance on Day 1c to bag over 500,000, the only player to reach that lofty mark. Others big stacks include Christopher Lee, Anthony McIe and Jason Pickup, while Joe Ebanks, Stan Jablonski, Chris Bibb and Iverson Cotton Snuffer also remain in contention.

Everyone's looking up at the $76,165 first-place prize, but first they need to get in the money and lock up $2,484.

For Day 2, things begin at 2,500/5,000/5,000 and progress from there with 40-minute levels. The plan is to play to an official final table of nine, at which point players will bag for the streamed and televised Day 3. Keep an eye here on PokerNews to see who secures a seat there.
