Jensen Holds To Double

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Robert Meglich was under the gun and raised to 6,000. Action folded around to Ben Jensen, who three-bet all in from the hijack. Meglich asked for a count upon action folding back to him. Upon hearing the number of 17,200, he announced a call.

Ben Jensen: {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}
Robert Meglich: {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Jensen found his offsuit weak ace ahead of Meglich's suited paint. The board ran out {4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} to give Jensen two pair, tens and fives, securing the best hand and the double to go along with it.

Jones Unexpectedly Wins at Showdown

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Noomis Jones
Noomis Jones

There was a little over 30,000 in the pot on a board of {k-Clubs}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Robert Goldstein had checked from the small blind to put action on Noomis Jones, who was in the cutoff. Jones bet 22,000 and received a call from Goldstein.

The river came {5-Diamonds} and Goldstein checked. Jones missed the action and asked for confirmation, which he received and checked back. After checking back, he lifted up his cards with the intent of mucking them.

Goldstein tabled {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for nothing more than ace-queen kickers to the pair of fives on board. Jones then turned over his hand, showing {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for fives up.

"I guess I did make something," he said as the pot was sent his way, bringing his stack up to 175,000 in the process.

Nguyen Check-Raises on Pham

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

There was around 21,000 in the pot from preflop action as the dealer fanned a flop of {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Action was heads up between Khoa Nguyen, who checked from the small blind to his opponent, Danny Nguyen, who was in middle position and bet 12,000.

Nguyen put in a check-raise to 40,000, sending Pham into the tank. Eventually, Pham let his cards go and Nguyen took down the pot.

Leitch Chips Up Through Dodson

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Ryan Dodson had opened from under the gun and was three-bet to 10,000 by Brian Leitch, who was in middle position. He was in the process of putting out chips to call, which brought a flop of {5-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Both players checked.

The turn came {2-Spades} and Dodson checked again. Leitch bet 6,000 and Dodson called. Both players then checked through to showdown on the river {7-Clubs}.

Leitch tabled {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} upon checking back and Dodson mucked, resulting in a won pot for Leitch, who re-entered before the dinner break after a short hiatus and now finds himself with two-and-a-half starting stacks with which to work.
