Banghart Picks off Williams

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Jeff Banghart opened to 50,000 from middle position and was called by Corey Williams in the hijack. All players behind folded and the two went heads up to a flop of {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. Action went check-check.

The turn came {3-Diamonds} and Banghart bet 75,000, getting a call from Williams.

The river fell {7-Spades} and Banghart checked. Williams threw out a bet of 100,000 and Banghart thought for a few seconds before tossing out chips to call.

"Nice call," said Williams, tabling {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a missed nut flush draw.

Banghart tabled {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for a pair of jacks, good for the pot to bring him back to 1.6 million.

Action was back on Hoang and he took about 35 seconds before sliding out a check-raise to 350,000. Banghart thought for about 10 seconds and slid his cards across the felt to the muck.

Steve Wilkie
Steve Wilkie

Steve Wilkie put in his last 25,000 from the cutoff and saw David Levy raise to 100,000 from the small blind. Corey Williams called from the big blind and the flop came {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Levy made a continuation-bet of 150,000 and Williams quickly folded, making it time for Levy and Wilkie to table their hands.

Steve Wilkie: {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
David Levy: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The turn came {a-Hearts} to leave Wilkie with two outs, neither of which he would hit as the river fell {10-Clubs} to send him to the rail in 11th place. Players are now redrawing for the unofficial final table of 10, with play continuing until one more player is eliminated before bagging and tagging to return for Monday's final table.

Redraw information and updated chip counts will be provided shortly.

Action folded around to Steve Wilkie, who was in the small blind and pumped it up to 90,000. Tan Hoang was in the big blind and three-bet, making it 180,000 to go. Wilkie quickly called.

The flop came {3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Wilkie checked. Hoang put out a continuation-bet of 200,000 and Wilkie cut out chips to call.

The turn came {8-Clubs} and Wilkie went all in. Hoang asked for a count, which was totaled to be 835,000, and went into the tank for about 45 seconds before making the call and tabling his hand.

Tan Hoang: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
"Nice hand," said Wilkie as he tabled {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Nick Pupillo
Nick Pupillo

John Small saw action folded to him in the small blind and put out 150,000 on top of the 10,000 he had committed from his small blind. Nick Pupillo was in the big blind and looked down at his cards before slamming his stack of remaining T5,000 chips onto the felt.

John Small: {q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Nick Pupillo: {5-Spades}{6-Clubs}

Unfortunately for Pupillo, he had called off his last three or so big blinds only to be in dominated going to the flop. The board ran out {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, resulting in Pupillo's hand remaining second best as he was sent to the rail in 13th place shortly after returning from the dinner break.
