Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Roger Campbell
Roger Campbell

Roger Campbell, who took down the $500 Seniors Championship yesterday here at the HPT St. Louis Season XV Championship, raised to 600 from early position, and was called by Bradley Heitmeyer in middle position, as well as the cutoff and big blind.

The big blind checked a {6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop over to Campbell, who bet 800. Heitmeyer raised to 1,600, and action folded back to Campbell, who called.

Both players checked through the {10-Spades} turn, and Campbell bet 2,300 on the {7-Clubs} river. Heitmeyer called, only to muck after Campbell tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for trip tens.

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

A player limped in from middle position, and Stephen Nussrallah raised to 800 on the button. Austin Schaal called in the small blind, as did Harry Sablotny in the big blind. The middle position limper paused for a moment, then made the call as well.

Action checked to Nussrallah on a {4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} flop, and he bet 2,200. One by one, his opponents folded and Nussrallah took down the pot.

Ortiz Goes for Value

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Chris Moon raised to 500 from middle position and was called by the hijack, as well as John Hughes in the cutoff. Jake Ortiz then three-bet to 2,800 in the small blind. The player in the big blind called, and the players behind him all elected to fold.

Both players checked the {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop and {j-Spades} turn.

After the {k-Hearts} river fell, Ortiz fired 2,100, and the big blind quickly folded. Ortiz tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} before raking in the pot.

Hughes Fades a Flush Draw to Bust Ioakmides

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Andreas Ioakimides
Andreas Ioakimides

John Hughes checked a {4-Spades}{k-Spades}{q-Clubs} flop from the small blind, and Andreas Ioakmides checked from the big blind. Mark Burgess bet 1,000 from the hijack, and Hughes called. Ioakmides woke up with a check-raise to 5,500, and after Burgess folded, Hughes jammed to put Ioakmides at risk for his last 13,000. Ioakmides quickly called.

Andreas Ioakmides: {3-Spades}{2-Spades}
John Hughes: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Ioakmides pinned his hopes to a flush draw, while Hughes was well out in front with top set. The {3-Clubs} turn and {8-Diamonds} river failed to bring in a spade for Ioakmides, and he headed to the cashier to utilize his single re-entry on the day.

Mark Burgess
Mark Burgess

Mark Burgess raised to 300 from the cutoff, and Season XV HPT East Chicago champ Chris Moon three-bet to 1,100 on the button. Burgess called.

On the {3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, Burgess led out for 1,000. Moon raised to 3,500, and Burgess called.

Both players checked the {5-Hearts} turn, and on the {j-Spades} river, Burgess checked again. Moon fired 2,500 and Burgess called. Moon tabled {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a pair of fives, but Burgess had that beat with his {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a pair of eights, and he took down the pot.

Ioakmides' Kicker Plays

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

A player raised to 300 from under the gun and Andreas Ioakmides, who was next to act, three-bet to 1,200. Only the under-the-gun player called, and they went heads up to a flop of {3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

The under-the-gun player led out for 1,200, and Ioakmides called.

Both players checked the {4-Hearts} turn, and neither player fired a bet on the {k-Clubs} river.

At showdown, Ioakmides' {a-Spades}{q-Spades} out kicked the under-the-gun player's {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} and won him the pot.
