Scotter Clark
Scotter Clark

Josh Reichard raised to 3,800 from under the gun, and Scotter Clark called in the big blind.

Action checked to the river of an {8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades} board, where Clark bet 7,000. Reichard quickly called, only to muck after Clark tabled {k-Spades}{a-Diamonds}.

Thoughtful Raise on River

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The board read {7-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} in a heads-up pot of about 28,000 when Stephen Song bet 14,000 from the big blind. Derek Schroeder remained motionless for a minute or two before grabbing chips and raising to 32,000.

Song instantly mucked, and Schroeder took down the pot, continuing to build his Day 2 momentum.

Denis Done and Dusted

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Robert Watson raised to 3,200 from under the gun, and Andreas Ioakmides called in the cutoff. Wyatt Denis three-bet shoved for 19,400 on the button, and Watson called. Ioakmides then four-bet shoved for 87,900, and Watson folded.

Wyatt Denis: {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Andreas Ioakmides: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Denis got no help on the {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop, but the {7-Spades} turn gave him a flush draw. The {6-Diamonds} river was a brick, and Denis busted.

Zou Fires Every Street

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Henry Zou opened to 3,500 from middle position, and action folded around to Jeffrey Roberson, who called in the small blind, as did Mark Burgess in the big.

The flop came down {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}, and Zou continued for 4,500 when checked to. Only Burgess called.

On the {j-Hearts} turn, Burgess check-folded to Zou's 6,000, and Zou stacked more ammo for Day 2.

Thomas Morse
Thomas Morse

Jerod Smith raised to 3,600 from under the gun, and Nikolas Martinez called in middle position, as did Tom Morse in the hijack. Hyun Lee three-bet to 12,000 from the cutoff, and Smith folded. Martinez called, and Morse four-bet shoved for 71,800. Lee five-bet jammed for 98,900 and Martinez said, "Wasted twelve-thousand," then folded.

Tom Morse: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Hyun Lee: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Morse caught up on the {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop and never faltered on the {9-Clubs} turn and {5-Clubs} river to double up.

Sharp Fades Draws for Double

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Gregory Sharp found himself all in on the turn, the river-less board reading {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, but Cory Bogert had outs.

Gregory Sharp: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Cory Bogert: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The {3-Hearts} river brought in neither the gutshot nor the flush for Bogert, giving Sharp the double.

Whittington on Fumes

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Blake Whittington checked a {j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{a-Hearts} board from the big blind, and Paul "Big Daddy" Elfelt bet 6,000 into a pot of 12,000 from the cutoff. Whittington called.

Whittington checked again on the {4-Diamonds} river, and Elfelt bet 9,000. Whittington went into the tank for a few minutes, counting down his remaining 24,900 in chips. Whittington announced a call, but mucked after Elfelt tabled {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} for aces-up.

Higgins Felts Hinkle

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Matt Higgins opened the action to 3,500 from the cutoff, and only short-stacked Blair Hinkle defended from the big blind, leaving only 11,600 behind.

After seeing the flop of {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Hinkle led for every last chip, and Higgins snapped.

Blair Hinkle: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Matt Higgins: {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

Having flopped bottom set, Higgins filled up on the turn via the {4-Diamonds}, leaving Hinkle's open-ender drawing dead. Hinkle was on his way out before the {9-Clubs} even fell.
