Smyth Doubles Following Confusion

Johnathan Proudfoot raised to 3,500 from the hijack. The player next to act folded, but then Kenneth Broad called in the big blind. Once he was informed he had acted out of turn, Marty Smyth, in the small blind, announced a raise. This was also out of turn, as Conor Bergin had not yet acted on the button.

Once the confusion was cleared up, Bergin raised to 11,000 before seeing Smyth move all in for 50,500. Both Broad and Proudfoot folded, and Bergin called.

Jonathan Proudfoot reentered straight away and, just as quickly, was back among the action.

Putting in a raise to 2,500 from under the gun, Proudfoot saw three callers, Marty Smyth included, who called in the cutoff.

Proudfoot continued for 4,000 on the K♣J♦3♣ flop, which only Smyth called.

The 7♠ turn saw action check through, and the dealer completed the board with the 8♦.

Proudfoot assembled a bet of 22,000, and after some consideration, Smyth made a painstaking fold, flashing the K♥ as he did.

Roope Tarmi made it 7,200 before Marty Smyth responded with a four-bet to 25,000 in the cutoff. Proudfoot moved all in for 26,700, Tarmi moved all in for 88,400, and Smyth called, putting them both at risk.
