The Royal Dublin Society will roll out the red carpet at 1 p.m. local time today, as the 2026 Irish Open sees the super high rollers take center stage. Sponsored by PokerStars and Paddy Power Poker, the series’ largest buy-in will see each entrant pony up €10,000 before taking their seats.
With a 100,000 chip starting stack and blinds opening at 100/200 and a 200 big blind ante, there will be plenty of room to maneuver. The structure will see each level last 40 minutes, with 20-minute breaks scheduled throughout the day. Upon completing Level 7, players will take a 40-minute extended dinner break.
€10,000 Super High Roller Day 1 Structure
If required, players have the option of unlimited re-entries, with late registration closing at the end of Level 10. Once registration is closed, all remaining players will continue until the tournament reaches the payouts, which will be roughly 15% of the starting field.
Play will recommence on Thursday, April 2nd at 1 p.m. local time, and will continue until a champion is crowned.
A little under 12 months ago, it was Irishman Robbie Toan who claimed the victory. The self-proclaimed amateur poker player bested a 53-strong field, taking home the trophy and a cool €163,800.
While it remains to be seen if Toan will return to defend his title, we can be sure that the €10,000 Super High Roller will attract some of the top players in the game when it kicks off later today.
