Proudfoot Makes Painful Fold

Level 4 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Jonathan Proudfoot
Jonathan Proudfoot

Ranno Sootla raised to 2,300 first to act, gathering calls from Jonathan Proudfoot in the cutoff, as well as Marty Smyth in the button and Joris Ruijs in the big blind.

Sootla continued for 3,000 on the A28 flop, which Proudfoot and Smyth both called, before Ruijs folded.

The 5 turn did nothing to slow Sootla down, continuing for 14,000. Proudfoot called for a second time, but Smyth returned his cards to the dealer.

The Q completed the board, and Sootla put out a bet of 35,000, enough to cover the stack of Proudfoot.

Burning through all three of his time extensions, Proudfoot elected to fold, but did turn over his A2, hoping to garner some information from Sootla.

Sootla said nothing as he dragged in the pot.

Kings for Ruijs, Broad Hero Folds Correctly

Level 4 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Joris Ruijs

When the action folded to Kenneth Broad in the small blind, he limped in before calling a raise to 4,000 from Joris Ruijs in the big blind.

Broad led out for 6,000 on the 1039 turn, before seeing Ruijs respond with a raise to 18,500.

Almost immediately, Broad folded, flipping over the 10 for top pair. Ruijs offered Broad to pick one card and turn it over. Broad took his opportunity and instead flipped over both of his opponents' cards, revealing KK.

"Please don't do that again", requested Ruijs, after the hand was complete.

With around 7,500 already in the pot, and four players looking at a 73Q flop, the action checked to Kenneth Broad on the button. Broad put out a bet of 4,800, which only Nils Pudel called from under the gun.

The action checked down on the 4 turn and 4 river.

Broad flipped over KQ, which was good enough to claim the pot.

"I should be arrested for stealing their money", said Broad.

"I offered for them to give me 90% of the prize pool, and they play for the rest, but they said no".

Sootla In Reverse

Level 3 : 400/800, 800 ante

Nils Pudel raised to 1,800 first to act, only Ranno Sootla called, defending his big blind.

With a 938 flop in the middle, Sootla check-called a bet of 3,000.

Sootla checked a second time on the J turn, and quickly folded when Pudel out another bet, this time for 8,000.

Ruijs Pulls in a Big Pot

Level 3 : 400/800, 800 ante

The action was joined as Joris Ruijs and Ranno Sootla were battling for a pot with roughly 15,000 already in the middle. With a full board showing J565Q, Ruijs put 25,000 into the middle. Sootla took his time to consider his options before making the call.

It was bad news for Sootla, who mucked his cards when Ruijs flipped over A5 for trips.
