Gisolfi Fires With Baby Pair

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Francesco Gisolfi made the minimum raise to 200,000 in middle position. John Barker then made it 550,000 to go in the cutoff, and Gisolfi called when the action had folded back to him.

The duo checked through the 779 flop, prompting Gisolfi to bet 125,000 on the Q turn. Barker quickly called, and did so too when Gisolfi put in 150,000 on the 6 river.

Gisolfi tabled 44, but it was no good against the AQ of Barker, who took down the pot to climb above the average stack.

Sardini Consolidates Chip Lead

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Gavin Sardini
Gavin Sardini

Gavin Sardini opened to 210,000 in middle position, which gathered calls from Daniel Caffrey in the hijack and both players in the blinds.

The dealer spread a 3A8 flop, and when the players in the blinds checked, Sardini continued for 450,000. Caffrey called, but the other two players folded.

The Q then joined the board, and Sardini kept his foot down, betting another 450,000. This time, it was enough to shake Caffrey out, as he returned his cards to the dealer.

Dunphy Gets Thin Value With Top Set

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

In a three-bet pot worth about 1,400,000, Edward Dunphy bet 300,000 on the 8AQ flop from the small blind. James Clossick called in middle position, after which both players checked the 5 turn.

Dunphy spent a time bank on the K river before firing 400,000 into the middle. Clossick collected calling chips and slid them over the line.

Dunphy showed AA for a set of aces, and Dunphy mucked what he claimed was ace-king.
