Hutchins Catches Huge Bluff for Double-Up

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Oliver Hutchins
Oliver Hutchins

On a board of 2K610, Oliver Hutchins checked from the small blind to Kevin O'Malley on the button. O'Malley then fired a big over-bet of 9,700 into the pot of 5,500 chips. Hutchins tanked for a bit before confirming the amount and putting in the call.

On the board-completing 10 river, Hutchins checked once more. O'Malley slid in 50,000 chips, enough to put Hutchins all-in. Hutchins thought it over for a while but ended up tossing in a calling chip.

O'Malley showed his A2 for bottom pair, after which Hutchins tabled his KJ for top pair. O'Malley's bluff was caught, leaving him with a stack of roughly 15 big blinds, while Hutchins doubled up to more than two starting stacks.

O'Malley Gets It Through

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Kevin O'Malley and Gunnar Wedde were heads up on a flop of 894. With around 5,000 chips in the middle, O'Malley checked from under the gun after which Wedde fired a bet of 2,500. O'Malley then raised to 9,000 and Wedde put in a call.

On the 2 turn, O'Malley announced himself all in, covering the 28,500 chips Wedde had behind. Wedde weighed his options for a bit, but ultimately decided on a fold, leaving himself with around 50 big blinds to play with.

Jacquie O'Connor was down to just 6,500 chips, which she pushed in from early position. The action then folded to Andy Black in the small blind, who made the call to put O'Connor at risk.

Black flopped a set on 1034, but O'Connor turned some outs on the 9 turn. Her straight did not come in on the 5 river, however, resulting in her elimination.

Black, on the other hand, raked in even more chips as the Irish poker legend and Irish Poker Tour ambassador was sitting on more than twice the starting stack.

Gilligan Lets It Go

Level 3 : Blinds 100/300, 300 ante

On a flop of AJQ, Ronan Gilligan made a bet of 1,000 from under the gun, and Mark Kilkelly check-called from the small blind.

The 5 turn saw Kilkelly check again, after which Gilligan fired a bet of 2,500. Kilkelly then swiftly pushed all his chips in the middle, covering the 33,500 stack of Gilligan.

Gilligan let out an expletive, took a few more looks at his cards, and threw them into the muck.

"It's too many big blinds," he added after the hand.
