Murphy Takes From Newport

Picking up the action on a board of KQJ2 and with 15,000 in the middle, Nicholas Newport put out a bet of 10,000, only to be check-raised by Moya Murphy to 55,000.

Newport took some time to ponder his decision before eventually folding. Murphy showed KJ to the table for two pair, leaving Newport to shake his head.

Wall Busts Hynes

Picking the action up on the turn with the board reading 83102, Aidan Hynes had put out a bet of 13,000 which was called by Derrick Wall.

On the 9 river Wall checked to Hynes, who promptly moved all in for around 35,000. Wall snap-called and turned over 22 for a set of twos, which had overtaken Hynes QQ on the turn, sending Hynes to the exit.

Carr was in great shape with a pair of nines against Ainsworth's sixes and the 3J10109 runout improved him to a full house, completing a timely double up for Carr.

McAleenan Gets River Value

Picking the action up on the river with the board reading 9KQ74 and with 20,000 in the middle, Irish Poker Tour Pro Darren Harbinson had put out a bet of 5,500, only to be faced with a three-bet to 17,000 by Daryl McAleenan.

Harbinson gave his opponent the eye before eventually calling, but his AQ for second pair was bested by McAleenan's top pair with AK.

Action folded back to Wedde, who promptly moved all in. McAree quickly called off his remaining stack of about 39,000, with McAree at risk.

Jonathan Geraghty opened to 2,200 from the cutoff, to be met by a three-bet from Keith Cummins on the button to 6,000. Geraghty called.

The flop of 455 was checked through by both players.

On the A turn, Geraghty check-called a bet of 5,200 from Cummins.

The river brought the J and Geraghty took some time to ponder his options. As he reached for chips, but before betting, Cummins folded his hand.

Geraghty showed K2 for king-high and raked in a sizeable pot.
