Picking up the action on the river, Glenn Keogh put out a bet of 50,000 into a pot of 67,000 with the board reading 10♠9♠6♣J♣J♠, which put his opponent, Niall Phelan, to the test for his remaining stack.
Phelan went deep into the tank and spent several minutes agonizing over his decision, picking up his chips sporadically and peering at the board and his opponent. Phelan eventually made the call.
Keogh turned over A♥9♦ for a pair of nines, the ace kicker proving crucial against Phelan's 9♥6♠. Phelan's flopped two pair had unfortunately been counterfeited by the runout.
Keogh raked in a significant pot and Phelan headed for the exit muttering to himself.
Picking the action up in a heads-up pot with 19,200 in the middle and the board reading 10♠5♠9♣5♥, Luo Yehong had put out a bet of 11,000 in position only to be check-raised by Brendan O'Halloran to 30,000. After quite some thought Yehong made the call.
The K♠ river completed the board and O'Halloran moved all in for 58,000 putting Yehong to the test for his remaining stack. Yehong again took considerable time to ponder his decision before eventually folding.
In some table chatter which followed, O'Halloran intimated he had pocket nines for the full house.

PokerNews arrived just as Irish poker legend Padraig Parkinson was raking in a pot and Paul Leckey was getting out of his chair.

Sabaitis put out a bet of 8,500 and was called by Creagh.
The 4♠ turn and 2♣ river were checked through by both players.
Sabaitis showed A♣10♣ for a pair of aces, which was good against Creagh's pocket jacks.
