Diamonds Are Kilgallon's Best Friend

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jarlath Kilgallon and Mark Kilkelly were heads up on a flop of 947 when Kilgallon made a 4,300 bet into the pot of 9,000 from under the gun. Kilkelly sat next to him and quickly made the call.

Kilgallon then put 5,800 in the middle on the 3 turn, and another call followed from Kilkelly. The A river brought the fourth diamond on board, but it did not scare Kilgallon, who completed his triple barrel with a bet of 7,200.

"Ah, go on then," groaned Kilkelly while he threw his cards into the muck, surrendering the pot to his neighbor.

Gagliano Triples Up

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Anthony Gaughan raised to 2,500 from the cutoff, and Robert Elkin called from the button. Antonino Gagliano then went all in for 5,800 from the big blind, after which Gaughan four-bet to 11,000.

Elkin still came along, creating a side pot on the 5Q8 flop. Both players subsequentially checked before Elkin was the first to bet on the 7 turn. Gaughan quickly check-folded, leading to a showdown between the other two players.

Antonino Gagliano: KK
Robert Elkin: 66

Gagliona was still ahead with his overpair, but Elkin had an open-ended straight draw. The 5 river paired the board, however, resulting in Gagliano tripling up to a stack of 19 big blinds.

Wilson Doubles Versus Trips

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Eugeniu Barbaros checked from the small blind on a completed board of 89A10A. Charles Wilson then jammed in his 24,100 stack from middle potion for a bet which was slightly larger than the pot.

Barbaros asked for a count, shrugged his shoulders, and tossed in a calling chip. Wilson showed QJ for a straight, and Barabros was forced to show his A6 for the losing trip aces.

Murphy Busts in Four-Way Affair

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Four players were on a turn of 87J9. Sam Haughton checked from the small blind and Sergej Agafonov then made a bet of 5,000 from the big blind. Shaun Dooley called from middle position before Gary Murphy jammed all-in for 35,000 from the cutoff.

Agafonov made a quick call, while the other two players got out of the way, creating a heads up showdown.

Gary Murphy: 106
Sergej Agafonov: Q10

Both players turned a straight, but Agafonov had the higher one. The K river did not bring a chop, and Murphy said his goodbyes before leaving the tournament area.
