Daniel Alfredo Bizoza Doubles Up

"My pocket jacks lost, but I can still levitate objects..."
"My pocket jacks lost, but I can still levitate objects..."
We're on the cusp of the money bubble. And if you're a short stack, it's one helluva time to pick up pocket aces. Daniel Alfredo Bizoza did just that. He shoved for this last 30,000. Eduardo Oscar Camia quickly reraised all in.

Daniel: {A-Clubs} {A-Spades}
Eduardo: {J-Spades} {J-Clubs}

The flop was {A-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {6-Spades} and Daniel unleashed a fist pump. The turn was the {6-Clubs} and the river was the {4-Diamonds}. Daniel Alfredo Bizoza doubled up and Eduardo Oscar Camia was crippled.

Horacio Courdin Eliminated in 30th Place

Horacio = Busto
Horacio = Busto
Monster hands.

Horacio Courdin shoved all in for his last 22,000. Dominik Nitsche called from the big blind.

Dominik: {5-Hearts} {2-Hearts}
Horacio: {4-Spades} {2-Spades}

"Yes!" shouted Dominik when he saw Horacio's hand.

The flop was {A-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {2-Clubs}. The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Horacio was drawing dead. The river was a meaningless {3-Diamonds}. Dominik added a few more chips to his already massive stack, while Horacio headed to the rail.

Twenty-nine players to go as we're approaching the money bubble. The top twenty-seven places pay out price money. The next two eliminations? They go home with nothing.

Rodolfo Awad Doubles Through Horacio Courdia

Awad moved in from early position and it was folded around to Courdia in the big blind. He made the call with {A-Spades} {8-Spades}, which was dominated by Awad's {A-Clubs} {J-Clubs}. The flop came {10-Spades} {7-Hearts} {2-Hearts} and the turn brought about the worst non-eight card for Awad, the {9-Spades}. With straight and flush draws Awad had a bunch of outs, but the {Q-Clubs} fell on the river and he doubled up.

Alejandro Rodriguez vs. Dominik Nitsche

Nitsche 1, Rodriguez 0
Nitsche 1, Rodriguez 0
It was the battle of the blinds between Alejandro Rodriguez (small blind) and Dominik Nitsche (big blind). Rodriguez raised and Nitsche fired out a hefty reraise. So much so, that Rodriguez sat in bewilderment for several minutes as he went into the tank. Rodriguez finally folded and flashed an Ace. Nitsche tabled {7-Hearts} {6-Spades} and cracked a wry smile as he stacked up Rodriguez's chips.

Tamara Yael Szaingurtern is Out

Tamara Yael Szaingurten
Tamara Yael Szaingurten
Facing a raise and without many chips, Tamara Yael Szaingurtern agonized over whether this should be the hand she risked her tournament life with. She buried her head in her hands and leaned over the table, before finally lifting her head and pushing her chips forward.

She'd been right to be apprehensive--her {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades} was dominated by Rodrigo Caprioti's {A-Spades} {K-Spades}. The board ran out {10-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {4-Hearts} {8-Clubs} and Tamara's tournament run came to an end.

Jose Barbero Eliminates Gustav Schuldt Langner

After Barbero raised Langner moved in the last of his chips and Barbero quickly made the call. His {K-Spades} {Q-Clubs} were racing against Langner's {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}, and when the flop came {3-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} Langner's shoulders slumped as he fell way behind. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn and {J-Clubs} on the river sealed his fate and Langner was eliminated.

Alex Brenes Eliminated

The end of the road for Alex Brenes
The end of the road for Alex Brenes
Alex Brenes attempted to pull off the impossible. The old "chip and a chair" adage held true for Brenes over the last couple of hours. Somehow, he avoided elimination and dodged more bullets than Phil Hellmuth.

But, Brenes' luck ran out when he ran into Dominik Nitsche. The two were all in preflop.

Brenes: {A-Diamonds} {2-Spades}
Dominik: {8-Spades} {8-Clubs}

"Ace!" Brenes requested of the dealer.

"No way. You got lucky so many times already against me today. No ace!" joked Dominik.

"Ace is coming, you'll see," said Brenes.

"The Ace is coming," added Martha Eneida Herrera Gonzalez from the rail.

The flop was {J-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs}. Brenes then asked the dealer for a jack or an ace.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and the river was the {5-Diamonds}. Brenes' hand did not improve. Dominik won the pot and the two shook hands as the entire room gave Brenes a standing ovation for his remarkable comeback, which fell short.
