Break

The tournament clock has been paused while the remaining 164 players go on their final 15-minute break of the day.

Upon their return, players will battle it out for two more levels until we bag and tag for the evening.

Ramdin Triples

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Victor Ramdin moved all in for 4,725 before the flop and action folded to Tyler Netter on the button. He made the call after verifying the count and checking the stacks in the blinds. The small blind folded, but then the big blind announced a raise. He made it 16,400 to go. Netter got out of the way, leaving only the big blind and the at-risk Ramdin.

Ramdin tabled only the {K-Clubs} at first, waiting for his opponent to show his hand. The other player then showed two red nines. Ramdin showed the {J-Spades} as his other card, making it a coin-flip situation.

The flop was good for Ramdin, when the {J-Clubs} fell followed by the {7-Hearts} and {5-Diamonds}. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and the river the {10-Diamonds}. Ramdin earned the triple up and now has nearly 16,000 chips.

Fitzgerald Picked Off

Alex "Assasinato" Fitzgerald
Alex "Assasinato" Fitzgerald
Alex "Assasinato" Fitzgerald raised preflop and was called by the player in the big blind. The flop came down {K-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {4-Spades}. The big blind checked and Fitzgerald fired 1,700. His opponent called.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and both players checked, bringing the river and the {A-Hearts}. The big blind checked and Fitzgerald fired 3,200. His opponent went into the tank. This was the same opponent that rivered an ace earlier against Fitzgerald in a hand we reported, in which Fitzgerald paid him off.

"This looks familiar." said the big blind. "What's your name?"

Fitzgerald sat quietly with his headphones on. The only movement was his left hand shuffling chips.

"It's John." said Humberto Brenes, who is seated at the same table."

"John, do you want me to call, John?" said the big blind. Fitzgerald still sat quiet and Humberto began to laugh as he knew he had told the player the wrong name.

"Normally, I would fold, but it's you, so I call." said the player, tossing in the chips. Fitzgerald then showed {5-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds}, and didn't look too happy about it. His opponent tabled {K-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} for the winning hand.

"Don't you be raising on my big blind!" he exclaimed as the pot was pushed his way.

Fitzgerald is down to 24,000.

There's a New Sheriff in Costa Rica...

...and he's not Costa Rican.

Rob Woodcock from Leeds in the UK has recently taken over the chip lead and currently sits with just over 120,000.

Woodcock won a package to the event on PokerStars, via a Step 6 sit'n'go.

We missed the hand(s) in which he earned his newfound wealth, but nextdoor neighbor Marcelo Dabus who was up to almost 100,000 earlier in the day now has just 29,600, so that might've had something to do with change in table hierarchy.
