Guillen Loses Some

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Angel Guillen made it 4,800 from under the gun and received a call from Nestor Masero on the button and Bernardo Dias from the big blind.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Dias checked. Guillen continued out for 7,000 and Masero called. Dias got out of the way and fourth street brought the {6-Diamonds}. Guillen opted to slow down this time, checking his option. Masero seized control of the hand, pushing out a 12,000 bet. Guillen called and the {K-Spades} fell on the river.

Guillen checked once more and his opponent made a small bet of 11,000. Guillen tossed his chips in the middle but quickly shot his hand toward the muck when Masero tabled {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Menendez Moves to Second in Chips

Juan Martin Abal made a preflop raise and 2011 LAPT Colombia Main Event champion Julian Menendez three-bet enough to put Abal all in. Abal called and the hands were turned over.

Menendez: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Abal: {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Menendez's pocket eights were able to hold. Menendez was able to reduce the field by one more player and make his stack the second biggest in the room.
