Galvin Taken Down by Koopmann

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Andrei Tamaduianu limped in from under the gun and Raymond Church raised to 18,000 in the early position. Aidan Galvin shoved from the hijack for around 170,000 and action folded to Frank Koopmann in the big blind who decided to shove for more. Tamaduianu and Church quickly folded for them to battle it out.

Aidan Galvin: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Frank Koopmann: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for Koopmann to flop top pair immediately and stay ahead throughout the board to eliminate Galvin just before the first break of the day.

Silcock Doubles Through Torrisi

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Rickie Silcock
Rickie Silcock

The board read {4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades} with over 90,000 in the middle already.

Rickie Silcock shoved for 89,000 from the cutoff and Illuminato Torrisi was considering his options from the button. In the end, he made the call with {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for the pair of jacks. Silcock turned over {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} for the same pair of jacks but with the higher kicker.

The river completed the board with the {2-Clubs} for Silcock to stay ahead and double up.

This wasn't the case for Abz Lad and Martin Kilchenmann as they were eliminated to take the field down to 156 players remaining.

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

The flop read {8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} with 42,000 in the middle already.

Peter de Bruin had checked in the small blind and Fabio Berti bet 12,000 from the early position. Jonathan Therme raised to 30,000 from the middle position and De Bruin responded with a three-bet to 90,000. Berti quickly got out of the way and Therme took a few seconds before announcing he was all-in. De Bruin asked for a count and it was confirmed Therme had 188,500 behind. De Bruin contemplated his options for a while and then made the call.

Jonathan Therme: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Peter de Bruin: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

De Bruin had flopped top pair but Therme had the set of eights.

The turn was the {9-Spades} which now gave De Bruin a gutshot to a straight for them to split the pot.

The river completed the board with the {7-Diamonds} for Therme to hold and double up.
