Welcome to Day 2 of the 2015 Master Classics of Poker Main Event

Who becomes the next MCOP champion?
Who becomes the next MCOP champion?

Day 2 of the €4,000 + 250 LIDO Main Event of the Master Classics of Poker will get underway in half an hour from now at 14:00 local time in the Holland Casino in Amsterdam. Thus far, a field of 278 entries has emerged but that number is not final yet with the registration and reentry option being available until the first card is dealt. A few players such as Bryn Kenney and Jorryt van hoof are expected to join the field again, though this is yet to be confirmed.

Leading the field into the second day is Martin Finger with 195,800 followed by Marco Guldenaar (181,400) and Timothy Adams (149,200). Day 1a chip leader Rens Feenstra (149,100) follows in fourth place overall and a plethora of notables made it through as half the field returns to the tables.

EPT11 Malta Main Event winner Jean Montury (145,000), Wouter Beltz (144,800), Georgios Zisimopoulos (141,800), Govert Metaal (128,200), Przemyslaw Piotrowski (102,200), 2011 MCOP Main Event champion David Boyaciyan (100,200), Thomas Muehloecker (95,200), Daniel Dvoress (73,900) and David "MissOracle" Yan (60,100) bagged up above-average stacks on the first starting day with Pascal Hartmann (57,900), Jason Wheeler (55,800), defending champion Ruben Visser (50,900), 2013 MCOP Main Event winner Noah Boeken (48,500), Juha Helppi (41,600), and Clyde Tjauw Foe (30,800) also coming along.

Omer Cubukcu (131,300), Antoine Vranken (129,400), Tobias Peters (117,700), Ilan Boujenah (101,600), Johan van Til (100,400), former November Niner Michiel Brummelhuis (98,700), High Roller winner Kuljinder Sidhu (90,500), 2012 champion Ole Schemion (82,600), Pascal Vos (78,800) and Steve O'Dwyer (73,200) successfully ran up their stacks last night.

Action resumes with blinds at 500-1,000 and a running ante of 100, whether the money will be reached or not tonight remains a question for now. The progressive structure results in the level duration increasing to 75 minutes and a maximum of nine of them will be played today on the way to determine another champion in the heart of Europe.

The PokerNews live reporting team will bring you all the key hands until a winner is crowned on Friday, tune back in often to find out what is happening.
