Coulier Versus Schemion

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

Arne Coulier, 2-time Belgian poker champion, opened from early position. Big blind Ole Schemion called and checked on {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. Coulier bet 1,550 and Schemion check-raised to 5,000. Coulier called.

The {Q-Diamonds} on the turn saw both players check and the {Q-Spades} completed the board. After Schemion checked, Coulier overbet 14,950 into 13,500. Schemion folded after some contemplation.

Aces Versus Kings

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante

"You just missed it," Joep van den Bijgaart said about a hand between Alberto Stegeman and Bart Lybaert. With "permission" of the 2 involved, Van den Bijgaart shared what had happened.

Stegeman opened under the gun and got called by his neighbor Lybaert and two more players.

Post flop, though, it would be just Stegeman and Lybaert. Stegeman fired 3 bullets: betting 3,500 on {9-}{6-}{3-} with 2 clubs, 6,500 on a {3-} turn, and 10,500 on a {9-} river.

Lybaert called his neighbor down with {K-}{K-} but turned out to be dominated from the start as Stegeman turned over {A-}{A-} and he raked in the chips.

Wesselink Wins Without Showdown

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Wim Anne Wesselink opened the cutoff for 1,100 and his neighbor Dan Carter called from the button. The player in the small blind squeezed to 4,500 and Wesselink called, Carter folded.

Both players checked the flop of {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and the small blind checked again on the {10-Diamonds} turn. Wesselink bet 6,100 and the small blind folded.

The small blind checked one last time on the {10-Clubs} river. Wesselink bet 6,100 and saw his opponent fold.

Meijer van Putten Doubles

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Jasper Meijer van Putten opened under the gun for 1,200 and saw Jack Salter in the hijack 3-bet to 3,300. The action folded to Meijer van Putten who shoved for 9,875. Salter went into the tank and eventually called.

Jack Salter: {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Jasper Meijer van Putten: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Meijer van Putten had secured himself the double up on the turn already.

Hambitzer Bad Beats Mulders, Ruys Busts

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

We missed the hand, but Daan Mulders told us about a big clash he had with his neighbor Niklas Hambitzer not too long ago.

Mulders told us he opened to 1,200 and was 3-bet by Hambitzer to 4,200. Mulders called out of position and check-called a bet of 4,200 on {A-}{8-}{6-} with 2 spades. The {6-Clubs} on the turn saw both players check and the {3-Diamonds} completed the board. Mulders overbet the pot for 26,000 and was soon facing a shove. Mulders called with {8-}{8-} only to be shown {A-}{A-} by Hambitzer.

Not much later, Fatih Aydin opened for 1,100 under the gun plus one. Hossein Ensan called from the cutoff before Joris Ruys shoved for 2,025 total in the small blind. Big blind Mulders isolated to 8,700 and Aydin shoved. Ensan folded, Mulders called.

Daan Mulders: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Fatih Aydin: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}
Joris Ruys: {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Ruys hit the rail while Aydin and Mulders chopped the pot.
