Veldhuis Busts

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Twitch poker sensation Lex Veldhuis has exited the Master Classics of Poker Main Event.

According to Bryan Paris, Veldhuis shoved his last 15 or so big blinds to the middle from the hijack. Teun Mulder in the small blind looked him up with {A-}{10-} suited. Veldhuis showed {A-}{Q-} off but was in a world of trouble as soon as the flop came ten-high. Veldhuis didn't improve on the turn or river.

"Gee fucking gee," Veldhuis said when we ran into him seconds later. Good game.

Van der Ven Doubles With Kings

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Floris van der Ven opened under the gun and found callers on the button and big blind. The flop came {6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades} and the big blind and Van der Ven both checked. The player on the button bet 12,000 and the big blind folded. Van der Ven shoved for 35,000 and the button called.

Van der Ven had an overpair with {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} but his opponent had a ton of outs with his {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. The {8-Diamonds} on the turn and {5-Spades} on the river were blanks and Van der Ven doubled.

Rene Kuhlman Eliminated

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

We ran into Rene Kuhlman while he stood on the rail talking to his close friend Floris van der Ven. Kuhlman described how his last hand had transpired.

A player in middle position opened for 5,500 and holding {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}, Kuhlman three-bet to 16,500. The action folded back to the initial raiser who four-bet to 35,000. Kuhlman called.

The flop came {Q-}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and the initial raiser bet 20,500. Kuhlman called and checked behind on the {3-} turn. The river came the {7-} and the middle position player jammed. Kuhlman called for his remaining 75,000 or so, and ended up losing to pocket aces.

Ruijs Adds Some More to His Stack

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

From middle position, Thomas de Rooij opened and big blind Joris Ruijs called. Ruijs check-called a bet of 4,000 on {10-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and check-called another 12,000 on the {3-Spades} turn.
