Korkmaz Finds an Ace to Bust Tatli

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Hakan Tatli had a raise to 500,000 in front of him from the cutoff as Koray Korkmaz reraised to 1,300,000. Tatli used a time bank card before announcing he was all in for around 2,100,000, and Korkmaz snap-called.

Hakan Tatli: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Koray Korkmaz: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

With more than 4,000,000 in the middle, the {10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} board gave Korkmaz top pair. Now needing the last king in the deck to stay alive, Tatli didn't get any miracles on the {3-Hearts}{5-Hearts} turn and river.

Tatli simply shrugged and handed over his chips before getting up from his seat.

"Big one," Korkmaz said as he approached 6,000,000.

"I hate kings. They should call them ace magnets. Always lose to ace-king and ace-queen," tablemate Manuel Fritz added.

Amamou Sends Drokin Back Down

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The board read {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Action was on the river and from the big blind, Rachid Amamou bet 425,000. Volodymyr Drokin was under the gun and thought for a few moments before he called.

Amamou tabled the {k-Spades}{8-Clubs} for top pair which was the winner as Drokin mucked as his stack was knocked back down to a short one after having just given himself some breathing room.

Chip and a Chair For Meran

Level 25 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Alberto Meran raised to 120,000 from under the gun and was called by Nuri Hadioglu in the big blind.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Hadioglu checked over to Meran, who continued for 80,000. Hadioglu called, then folded to a bet of 200,000 on the {10-Spades} turn.

Meran thought he had been eliminated after doubling up Erik Cajelais earlier and was left with just 30,000 chips, not enough to cover the big blind. But he's since increased his stack to 1,200,000 as he tries to mount a comeback.
