Things Getting a Little Heated

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

After an early position open to 1,500 chips, Huseyin Yilmaz made it 8,200 to go. Action was back on his opponent and both Yilmaz and a player sat between the two were getting annoyed about how much time this player was taking. Presumably he'd taken a long time in previous hands as only about 45 seconds had passed in this decision before they were telling the floor to come over and calling for time.

The early position player did call and they were heads-up to a flop of {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. A 7,000 continuation bet came out of Yilmaz and the opponent made the call.

Both players then checked their option on a {3-Hearts} turn card.

When the {q-Clubs} river completed the board, Yilmaz notioned for his opponent to raise his arm so he could see his stack, before announcing he was all in for his opponents last 20,000 or so. The early position player quickly mucked giving Yilmaz the pot.

Death By Quads

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

After an open from middle position, the button made the call. With action on the small blind of Arsenii Karmatckii, he moved all in. The big blind of Tommy Vedes then moved all in, too, folding out the other two players in the pot and putting cards on their backs.

Tommy Vedes: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Arsenii Karmatckii: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

It was a flip situation, until it wasn't. The flop {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} left Vedes drawing dead, aa Karmatckii flopped quad nines. The meaningless {2-Diamonds} turn and {6-Spades} river completed the board ot send Vedes to the rail.

Khamatgareev Doubles

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action was picked up on the river, where the small blind had bet 12,300 into a pot of 25,000. The board read {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Ravil Khamatgareev was sat in middle position considering his option.

With 30,900 left in his stack he moved all in and his opponent asked for a count as he moved around in his chair. Once Khamatgareev's stack was confirmed, he hastily called and tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Khamatgareev turned over {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for top boat to double up above average stack.

Alexandridis Takes Down Multi-Way Pot

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

With action with the button on a flop of {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}, he chose to bet 2,400 into a pot of 5,000 after Michel Habib in the hijack and cutoff of Symeon Alexandridis checked. Habib made the call before Alexandridis raised to 10,500. Both the button and Habib called, swelling the pot.

The {a-Clubs} turn slowed all the action down, all three players checked their option.

A {7-Clubs} completed the board and once again all three players checked. Habib mucked as he flashed the {q-Hearts} and Alexandridis announced ''Ten'', as he showed the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, which was good enough to be the winner.
