Shcherbakov's Aggression Gets Him in Trouble

Kirill Shcherbakov was up to his old tricks again with some aggressive play, but this time he paid the ultimate price.

Artem Gorbunov raised from middle position and Shcherbakov three-bet from the hijack. Gorbunov put in a four-bet to 65,000 and Shcherbakov shoved for 200,000. Gorbunov quickly called.

Gorbunov seemed to know he was likely ahead and despite Shcherbakov flopping a straight draw on the J♦8♥4♠ board, the 4♦K♠ runout bricked off, sending him to the rail.

Manikaros knuckled the table on the 8♥J♣K♠ flop, prompting Jorstad to bet 19,000. Manikaros slid in the call.

The turn came the 6♣ and Manikaros check-called another bet from Jorstad, this time for 40,000.

The 4♣ fell on the river and both players checked. Manikaros turned over the winner with K♣J♦ for a flopped two pair.

Dmitrii Levin's stack has swelled to around 800,000 after he just took down a pot.

The action was picked up on a board of K♣7♥3♠ with around 100,000 in the middle. The small blind checked and Levin fired 15,000 from the big blind. The small blind called.

A K♠ on the turn went check-check and the 7♦ dropped on the river. Again the small blind checked, then Levin bet 125,000. The small blind went into the tank and eventually laid his hand down, allowing Levin to add to his stack.

Usmanov Doubles With a Straight

Quentin Reaubourg min-raised from the button with Salim Usmanov calling from the small blind, and Nils Pudel defending his big blind.

Both the blinds checked the A♥10♣K♦ flop, and Reaubourg fired out a bet of 15,000. Usmanov called, but Pudel folded.

Usmanov knuckled the table again on the J♥ turn, prompting Reaubourg to put out a second bet of 30,000. Usmanov called.

The A♠ river got a final check from Usmanov. Reaubourg looked at Usamov's remaining 170,000, and then bet enough to put him all in. Usmanov paused briefly before making the call.

Reaubourg showed J♠8♦ for just a pair of jacks. Usmanov had that beat with Q♦J♦ for a straight, and he doubled up,

There were around 40,000 in the pot on a 6♥6♣Q♥3♥ board when the big blind checked and Aleksandr Chernikov also tapped the table from under the gun. Mazalahedwa Bako was on the button and fired out 12,000, which only Chernikov called.

A 9♠ fell on the turn and again Chernikov checked in flow, which drew another bet out of Bako, this time for 35,000. Chernikov thought a bit longer about this one and didn't like the situation he was, which eventually made him fold.

Chernikov Backdoors Trips to Crack Kings

Aleksandr Chernikov just flexed his muscles after spiking the river to double up through Kemal Aslan.

The board read J♦4♣2♥ and with almost 100,000 in the pot, Chernikov checked from the small blind. Aslan then fired 28,000 out of the big blind, and Chernikov check-raised to 101,000. Aslan used some extra time before he shoved, and Chernikov called off his stack which totaled 214,000.

Chernikov decided to run his open-ended straight draw and did pick up a few more outs when the 3♣ hit the turn, giving him a pair. The three repeated on the 3♥ river, improving Chernikov to trips and prompting him to stand up and flex his guns like a bodybuilder. Aslan also got up but not in celebration as his Cowboys couldn't lasso the pot his way.

Okolovich Shows Just One Card

There was raise from middle position to 10,000 with only Iurii Okolovich making the call from the big blind.

Okolovich check-called a bet of 7,500 from his opponent on the 5♦2♦K♣ flop.

The turn came the 6♦ and Okolovich checked again. The middle position player bet around 16,000, and Okolovich check-raised to 38,000. Okolovich's opponent made the call.

Okolovich fired a bet of 25,000 on the 10♣ river, and was met by a raise to 115,000 from the middle position player. Okolovich shoved for his opponent's remaining 131,000, and the middle position player went into the tank. After talking to himself and thinking for a few minutes, the middle position player reluctantly folded.

Okolovich looked back at his cards and then revealed just the A♦.
