Heads-up on a flop of Q♦10♠4♣, Anthony Khouzami bet 70,000 from the cutoff and Caner Gunes called in the big blind.
The turn was the 3♥ and Khouzami bet 260,000. Gunes quickly called and they saw the 3♣ fall on the river. Khouzami then fired out 600,000.
Gunes again called and Khouzami turned over A♣Q♣ for top pair. Gunes tossed the Q♠ into the muck as Khouzami took down the big pot.
Robert Burlacu moved all in for 250,000 in middle position and Daniel Henriques called under the gun.
Robert Burlacu: K♥J♥
Daniel Henriques: K♣K♠
Burlacu had run right into Henriques' kings and was at risk of elimination until the flop brought J♣J♠6♠, giving him trips. The board ran out 4♠7♣ and Burlacu doubled up.
"Wow. What a lucky man. I knew he was going to win. I know him," tablemate Alain Hajj said.
"How do you jam before the flop with king-jack, 11, 12 big blinds?" Hajj added.
"Now my mother won't give me money to play anymore," Burlacu replied.
Three-way action to the 3♥5♣5♦ flop saw Khusanbek Abdullaev get out of the way after Elie El Ghassan moved all in and Caner Gunes called.
Elie El Ghassan: A♠A♦
Caner Gunes: 5♠5♥
El Ghassan turned over aces, while Gunes proudly displayed his flopped quad fives. The 10♣2♥ runout left El Ghassan without any chips, while Gunes moved into the chip lead.
Action was heads-up to the 2♠Q♠2♥7♣9♣ river, where Daniel Gavish checked in the small blind with just under 500,000 chips in the middle.
Simone Andrian slid out a full stack of white chips, totalling 500,000 on the button.
Gavish took a few minutes, opting to lay it down and Andrian moved over the two million chip mark.
Vasilii Kurguzov moved all in for his last 105,000 under the gun and Guy Gorelik reshoved for 350,000 in early position. The table folded around to Fausto Tantillo in the big blind who rubbed his hands together and peeled his cards, but he ended up turning over a three and mucking.
Vasilii Kurguzov: 9♦7♦
Guy Gorelik: A♦J♥
Kurguzov took the lead on the 10♠8♣7♥ flop with a pair of sevens, but the board ran out 8♠10♦ to counterfeit his pair and give Gorelik the pot, and the bustout, with his ace-kicker.
Houman Sahafi stood up and confidently turned over his cards, all in along with Kristaps Vismanis while Khusanbek Abdullaev covered both stacks.
Kristaps Vismanis: A♣Q♥
Houman Sahafi: A♥A♦
Khusanbek Abdullaev: K♠K♥
Sahafi's pocket aces were in a great spot, holding through the 8♠10♣9♦7♠2♠ runout to cooler Abdullaev and send Vismanis to the rail.
