Zurr Avoids Disaster

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Elie Farah opened to 10,000 from under the gun and was called by a player in early position, Shai Zurr on the button and Tugce Hursoz in the big blind.

The flop came JK4 and action checked around to Mahmoud who bet 13,000. Zurr called, Hursoz folded and Farah called.

Mahmoud continued for 22,000 when checked to on the 3 turn. Once again both Zurr and Farah called.

All three players checked the 9 river. Mahmoud had top pair with K5, Farah had missed with A3 for the nut-flush draw and Zurr had KQ for top pair and a missed second nut-flush draw which was good to take the pot.

Nader Rolls the Dice and Doubles Up

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Alfred Nader
Alfred Nader

Mustafa Biz opened from middle position and Yaniv Shushan three-bet to 25,000 from the cutoff. Alfred Nader cold-called from the big blind, then Biz shoved for around 150,000. Shushan took his time before he folded, and Nader called off his stack of almost 125,000, which left him at risk.

Alfred Nader: 33 All in
Mustafa Biz: AK

Nader was surely pleased to find that he was in a flip and his pocket threes held onto their lead on the 6Q2 flop. A 4 on the turn added a meaningless straight draw to Nader, and he improved to a set on the 3 river to double up.

"Yesssssss!" shouted Nader as the three came down on the river.

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Aleksandr Kirichenko
Aleksandr Kirichenko

Aleksandr Kirichenko opened from middle position to 12,000 and Andrej Tekel squeezed from the hijack to 36,000. When the action got back on Kirichenko, he called.

They saw a flop of 877 where Kirichenko check-called a bet of 60,000 from Tekel to the J turn, which went check-check.

On the A river, Kirichenko tapped the table and Tekel grabbed a handful of chips and bet 90,000. Kirichenko went into thought for around a minute before he ultimately decided on a fold.

Chilaud Takes Down a Pot as the End of Day Nears

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a flop of 34A both Maxime Chilaud and the big blind put in 42,000 on the flop to see the 6 turn, which checked through.

A J dropped on the river and after thinking for a while, Chilaud shoved all but 6,000 of his chips across the line and into the pot. The big blind was quick to relent, and Chilaud took the pot.

Chilaud is no stranger to North Cyprus and even won the Merit Poker Main Event back in 2023 at the Carmen Series for a mega payday of $ 376,800.
