Watts Chipped Up After Three-way All In

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Richard Watts is vying for the chip lead as players get ready to take their second break of the day. He was kind enough to fill PokerNews in on some of the details. Watts' chips have come via a few hands but his biggest pot of all was in a three-handed all in preflop scenario. He held pocket-queens and was up against pocket-jacks and ace-king. With no ace, king or jack on the runout, Watts secured a very tidy pot and he has been building steadily ever since.

Miller Shows the Bluff

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Following a 1,600 early position open and a flat on the button, Gary Miller three-bet to 5,100 in the big blind. Both players called him and the trio headed to the flop.

It came {3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and Miller continued, which got one call and one fold. Heads up, the dealer put a {q-Spades} on the turn. Miller barreled for 8,400 and his opponent went into the tank, using a time-bank card, using the extra seconds to double-check how much he had left behind (28,000 and change).

In the end, he decided it was too much and folded and Miller showed the table {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a turned straight draw.

Miskelly on the Up

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Gary Chan opened the action to 1,600 and got two calls behind and one from the blinds.

The flop fell {q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{10-Spades} and it checked to Chan who continued for 5,100. Both players behind called and the big blind folded.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and after Chan checked, the player on his left moved all in for 7,000. William Miskelly was on the button and he flat-called. Chan didn't like the spot, reluctantly passing and he was right to do so.

William Miskelly: {4-Spades}{3-Spades}
Opponent: {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Miskelly couldn't lose, having turned the flush and he boosts up nicely after that hand.

Mcgilly Survives

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

All the chips went in preflop, with short-stacked Terence Mcgilly in for his tournament with his last 8,700 in the middle. He was racing with {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} against his opponent's {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

Mcgilly connected with the {5-Spades}{q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs} board and his pair of jacks was good enough to keep him in the game.

Langston Doubles

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

James Langston has doubled his stack after getting it in with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and holding against {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} on a {10-Clubs}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} board just now. That pot gives him double the starting stack, which is more than the average at this point.
