Deborah Reid Busts Last Hand Before Break

Level 21 : 8,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Deborah Reid finishes in 27th place (winning £366) after losing a final flip against Robert Watt. Down to under 100,000, she jammed {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and Watt gaver her a spin with {9-}{9-}. The pair held over the {5-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} runout and Reid shook her buster's hand. The magnanimity of that gesture was marred somewhat by her adding, "Well played. You bastard."

Hasan Doubles, then Busts Forster with Back To Back Aces

Level 21 : 8,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Mehmet Hasan has seen his fortunes soar this level. He looked down at {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} when Deborah Reid shoved in early position with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, called all-in for 100,000 and held.

Now up to 230,000 he called Keith Forster's jam with another pair of aces (this time the other suits: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}). Forster showed {j-}{j-Spades}, and the hand was over after the first four board cards popped out spades.

"He's looking after you!" said Reid of the dealer.

Catleugh Doubles Leaving Oxborough Short

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Two huge preflop hands plus one nut draw equalled a big pot for George Catleugh. Caught from the {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop when all the chips went in, Catleugh showed down {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, up against Paul Oxborough's {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

It wasn't the flush that came in for Catleugh, but the {a-Clubs} on the river. He gave a slight fistbump with a "Grrr" sound as his stack received new life.
