Shorr Scores the Knockout

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action was opened under the gun to 2,500 and got called in middle position by Ryan Leng. It folded to the button who called and then action was on Shannon Shorr in the small blind. He took a moment and then put in a three-bet to 11,500.

The action was back on the original raiser who went into the tank for a moment before announcing he was all in. Leng and the button got out of the way and Shorr snap-called.

Under the gun: AJ
Shannon Shorr: QQ

The full board ran out 106KKJ and Shorr's pair of queens would hold to score the knockout.

Laskowitz Gives One Up, Still On the Move

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Samuel Laskowitz raised to 2,500 from the button and Josh Reichard called from the big blind. The flop was 554 and Reichard checked before Laskowitz bet 1,700. Reichard took a beat and tossed out 4,800, and that was enough to get Laskowitz out of the pot.

Laskowitz is near the 250,000 mark, while Mid-States Poker Tour Hall of Famer Josh Reichard is trending up after he joined the tournament in the middle levels.

Jozoff Raises Turn

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The cutoff opened the action to 2,200 before getting called in the small blind by Masato Yokosawa and in the big blind by Michael Jozoff.

The 837 flop landed and action checked through to a 3 turn. Yokosawa opted to lead for 3,800 and Jozoff quickly raised to 11,000.

The cutoff got out of the way and action was back on Yokosawa who called before the 5 rolled off on the river.

It checked to Jozoff who went into the tank for a moment and then fired another shell for 21,500. Yokosawa snap-folded and Jozoff scooped on his way to a top ten stack.

Lagodich Double Barrels

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Frank Lagodich
Frank Lagodich

Frank Lagodich opened in early position to 2,100 before getting called by Dylan Linde in middle position and Andrew Lichtenberger in the cutoff.

The 993 flop laned and Lagodich continued for 2,000. Only Linde called on their way to a 7 turn.

Lagodich sat in the tank for a moment before sizing up to 8,000. Linde went into the tank and burned a time bank in the process. Eventually he found a fold and Lagodich dragged a healthy pot to move back towards the middle of the field.
