Maria Konnikova opened to 4,000 from middle position and Jon Kyte called from the hijack.
The flop came K♥5♠4♦ and Kyte called a 4,000 continuation-bet from Konnikova.
Kyte called a second barrel from Konnikova on the 5♦ turn, this time for 11,000.
Both players checked the 3♦ river. Konnikova turned over top pair with K♦10♥ and Kyte mucked.
With around 25,000 in the pot on a board of 4♦2♠J♦9♠, Elias Gutierrez bet 10,000 from under the gun and Peter Mugar called in the big blind.
The river was the 6♥ and Gutierrez moved all in for 23,000. Mugar snap-called with 9♦6♦ for running two pair and Gutierrez tossed K♦J♣ into the muck before the Team PokerStars Pro headed for the exit.
With two players seeing a board of K♥J♦9♥ and around 15,000 in the middle, Thomas Eychenne checked from the small blind and Farah Galfond bet 5,000 from under the gun. Eychenne made the call.
Galfond bet 16,000 when checked to on the 3♠ turn and this time it was enough to force a fold from Eychenne.
Over at Table 3, Katrina Weaver got her stack of roughly 30,000 all in preflop and was flipping for her tournament life against Niroshan Loganathan.

Weaver was the one in need of improvement and she got it when the Q♦A♣2♦ flop delivered her a pair of queens. Neither the 2♣ turn nor 8♣ river changed a thing and Weaver shipped the double.
Heads-up on a flop of 8♠6♣A♣, Stan Jablonski bet 2,000 from middle position and Jonathan Tamayo raised to 9,000 in the big blind. Jablonski then moved all in for 25,000 and Tamayo called.

Jablonski had a nut flush against Tamayo's top two pair but missed the 5♠ turn and 4♥ river as the reigning world champion scored the knockout.
Brian Yoon raised to 4,000 in early position before Aram Zobian moved all in for 40,500 on the button. Matt Affleck then reshoved in the small blind and Yoon got out of the way.

The K♣5♣2♠ flop gave Affleck top pair, while Zobian picked up a flush draw. Affleck remained in the lead on the 6♥ turn, while the river was the 10♦ and Zobian was sent to the rail.

Ehsan Amiri raised to 3,000 from early position and Tyler Hirschfeld three-bet to 7,500 from the hijack. Action folded back around to Amiri, who called to see a flop of 8♥6♦J♣.
Amiri check-called a bet of 2,000 and the 3♥ appeared on the turn. Amiri then spiked in a stack big enough to put Hirschfeld all in, and indeed he quickly called off for 19,000.
