Thomas Boivin opened to 30,000 from under the gun and Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 120,000 in the cutoff. Boivin called.
Boivin then led out for 70,000 on the flop of 7♣6♠4♦ and Chidwick called. Boivin sized up to 140,000 on the 7♥ turn and Chidwick again called.
Boivin checked on the Q♦ river and Chidwick bet 350,000. Boivin laid it down.

Boivin pulled ahead further on the Q♣2♥9♥ flop, improving to a set of queens. The turn landed the 6♠ and the river fell the 4♦, ending Haxton's tournament run.
Nick Petrangelo opened the action with a raise in the cutoff and was called by Cary Katz in the small blind and Bryn Kenney in the big blind.
The flop came 3♥6♠J♥ and it checked to Petrangelo who bet 40,000. Katz called and Kenney made it 160,000 to go, prompting Petrangelo to get out of the way. Katz then moved all in for 460,000 total to put himself at risk and Kenney quickly called.

The board ran out 3♦, 2♥ with both players hitting a flush on the river. Katz saw the pot being pushed his way with the higher flush.

The flop of 7♠9♥8♣ checked through and both players checked again on the 3♦ turn. Boivin then bet 125,000 on the 9♣ river and Haxton called, only to muck as Boivin showed 9♦4♦ for trip nines.
As the hand played out, a colorful side conversation took place as Cary Katz tried to figure out what the dating app Grindr was after an earlier comment from Nick Petrangelo.
"I'm a grandpa, I don't keep up with these Grindr apps," said Katz. "I'm going to ask Grok."
Bryn Kenney then interrupted Katz' search and told him it was a dating app.
Isaac Haxton raised to 35,000 in middle position and Dan Smith three-bet jammed in the small blind to put himself at risk.
Haxton asked for a count and Smith confirmed that the bet was 235,000.
Haxton thought for a moment before tossing his cards into the muck.
