The flop came 5♦5♠6♥ and it checked to Boivin who bet 3,500. Only Gathy continued to the 7♠ turn.

Gathy led out with a bet of 5,500 and Boivin raised to 20,000. Gathy made the call and the river landed the 10♦.

Both players checked and Gathy tabled the winner with 8♠8♣ for two pair, eights and fives.

As the hand played out, Chino Rheem walked by after busting a different tournament and Isaac Haxton tried convincing him to register.
