Level 22-23 Highlights
Carl Shaw raised to 50,000 on the button, Ekrem Bozkurt three-bet to 125,000 in the small blind, and Shaw called.
The flop came 10♠6♠3♣ and Bozkurt bet 225,000. Shaw quickly folded.
Baurzhan Akimov opened to 50,000 in early position and Abdullah Akbarpoor three-bet to 180,000 out of the big blind. Akimov burned through two of his time banks before sticking in a four-bet to 380,000. Akbarpoor just called and the flop of 7♥4♦3♦ hit the felt.
Akbarpoor started with a check and Akimov checked it back to the 4♠ on the turn. Akbarpoor led out with a bet of 250,000 this time and Akimov called to see the 7♠ on the river. Both players tapped the table and Akbarpoor turned over J♠J♣ for the winner.
In a limped pot between the blinds, Baurzhan Akimov led out for 25,000 on a flop of A♠3♣9♣ and Matthew Beinner called.
Akimov then bet 100,000 on the Q♦ turn and Beinner again called. Akimov checked the Q♥ river, and Beinner bet 60,000. Akimov gave the decision some thought, but he eventually folded and Beinner took the pot.
Ekrem Bozkurt raised to 55,000 in the cutoff and was called by Thomas Boivin on the button and Peter Mugar in the big blind. The flop came 10♣7♠7♦ and the action checked around to the 8♥ on the turn.
Mugar led out with a bet of 50,000 and Bozkurt called, while Boivin got out of the way. The river was the 4♦ and Mugar reached back for a large bet of 350,000. Bozkurt thought for a brief moment but then slid his cards into the muck.
In a limped pot between the blinds, Mathew Perez led out for 40,000 on a flop of 9♣9♠6♠ and jesse Yaginuma called.
Perez checked the 7♠ turn, and Yaginuma bet 55,000. Perez called to see the 10♣ river and checked again, and Yaginuma bet 200,000.
Perez put in a few of his time banks and shook his head in frustration, taking around a minute before returning his cards to the dealer.
Ekrem Bozkurt raised to 60,000 in middle position and Richard Green flat-called in the cutoff. They went heads-up to a flop of K♦10♦4♠ where Bozkurt continued with a large bet of 110,000. Green called and the 2♠ landed on the turn.
Bozkurt checked this time and Green threw in a bet of 265,000. Bozkurt mulled it over but decided to dump his cards into the muck.
Michael Berk raised to 50,000 under the gun before Matthew Beinner three-bet to 125,000 in the hijack. Berk folded and Beinner took the pot.
Baurzhan Akimov then opened to 50,000 under the gun, and Beinner again three-bet to 125,000 in middle position. Akimov took a moment to eye down Beinner's stack, but he also gave up his hand. "I had better than the last one," Beinner said.
Beinner then raised to 40,000 under the gun, but this time he was the one facing a three-bet as Jesse Yaginuma made it 140,000 in the hijack. Beinner folded.
Jen Shahade raised to 55,000 on the button and Michael Berk called in the big blind.
Shahade continued for 60,000 on the Q♣2♣4♦ flop and Berk called. Shahade then bet 125,000 on the 10♦ turn, and Berk again called.
Both players checked the 7♣ river, and Berk showed Q♦3♦ for top pair to win the pot.
