Mizrachi Adds to His Stacks With A Small Pair

Robert Mizrachi raised the button to 5,000 and Damir Zhugralin defended his big blind.

Zhugralin check-called a bet of 3,000 from Mizrachi on the 2♥5♣4♥ flop.

The turn came the 7♣ and Zhugralin check-called another bet from Mizrachi, this time for 6,500.

Both players checked the Q♠ river and Zhugralin showed a missed straight draw with K♣6♥. Mizrachi had that beat with 3♠3♦ for just a pair of treys, and the pot went his way.

Trips Help Rezaei Surge Up the Chip Counts

Heads-up to the turn on a board of K♦7♦8♠8♥ and with around 30,000 in the pot. Armin Rezaei was first to act from the big blind and fired out a bet of 24,000, which Jianming Luo called from the cutoff.

After the 5♠ appeared on the river, Rezaei bet 75,000, causing Luo to go into the tank. After deliberating for over a minute, Luo slammed in the call.

Luo was left shaking his head and with fewer chips in his stack after Rezaei revealed J♠8♦ for trips to win the pot.

Jamil Wakil made it 4,500 from the button and found one caller in the big blind.

When it checked to Wakil on the Q♦10♦6♠ flop, he placed out a continuation-bet of 7,000. The big blind player called.

The action checked to Wakil again on the A♠ turn, and again he fired, this time for 13,000. Wakil's opponent slid in the call with around 25,000 left in his stack.

The big blind checked for the last time on the 4♣ river, prompting Wakil to jam. The bet was the rest of Wakil's opponents' stack, and after burning through a couple of time banks, he reluctantly folded his cards.

After a player at the table raised, Guo Liang Wei three-bet to 12,000 from the button. Aren Bezhanyan cold four-bet to 33,000 from the small blind, which forced the initial raiser to fold. Wei burned through a few of his time banks before deciding to jam for 134,000. Bezhanyan quickly called to try to bust Wei.

Both players had premiums, but Bezhanyan needed to connect with the board to send Wei to the rail.

The board ran out 8♥9♥6♣4♠5♥, which didn't help Bezhanyan, and Wei doubled up to almost 300,000.

Liu Bets Twice to Get Chernikov to Fold

Aleksandr Chernikov opened from the button, and Changyang Liu three-bet to 18,000 out of the big blind. Chernikov didn't take long to make the call.

The J♣2♠7♦ flop saw Liu fire out a bet of 10,000. Chernikov called, and the Q♦ appeared on the turn. Liu fired again, this time for 25,000, causing Chernikov to return his cards to the dealer.
