Middleton's Top Pair is Good a Showdown

With around 10,000 in the pot on a flop of A25, Alexey Savenkov bet 2,800 from the button and Tom Middleton check-raised to 9,000 out of the big blind. Savenkov made the call.

The K dropped on the turn, and Middleton bet 11,000, which again Savenkov called.

Both players checked the Q river and Middleton's A9 for a pair of aces took down the pot.

As the pot was pushed to Nashar, he flipped over the 2 and said to Chernikov: "Either you go to the cashier, or I go to the cashier. One of us is going to the cashier there"

Around five minutes later, Nashar was eliminated and headed directly to the cashier to get a new, fresh starting stack.

Rezaei Makes a Move Against Balaev

Viacheslav Balaev made it 2,500 from the hijack and Daniel Rezaei three-bet to 7,200 from the button. Balaev four-bet to 13,500 with about 45,000 behind. Rezaei took a look at Balaev's stack, then five-bet jammed to put him all in. Balaev quickly called.

Rezaei had been making a move with a suited ace, and ran into the Ladies of Balaev. However, he still could hit an ace or some diamonds to bust Balaev.

The 7Q5 flop gave Balaev top set and meant Rezaei needed running cards to win. Rezaei picked up a flush draw on the K turn, but the 9 river was clean for Balaev, and he doubled up.
