Pu Finds Quads to Double Through Puetz

With a stack that covers the entire table, Christopher Puetz jammed from the button when the action folded to him. Weiran Pu called for his stack of 1,350,000 from the small blind, and the cards were shown after the big blind folded.

Pu was ahead with pocket tens, but Puetz could hit an ace to send him to the rail.

A flop of A♥10♠6♠ may have given Puetz top pair, but Pu took a commanding lead with a set. Pu was upgraded to quads by the river as the rest of the board came 9♥10♥, and he doubled up.

On a completed board of 8♣K♣4♦A♦8♦, Xuming Qi checked from the big blind, and Krasimir Yankov shoved from middle position.

The jam was for Qi's remaining 1,000,000, and after burning through a couple of time banks, Qi slammed in the call.

Yankov revealed a king-high flush with K♦3♦ to win the pot and eliminate Qi, who turned over Q♦10♦ for a smaller flush.

The 9♣9♥8♥ flop was favorable for Ates as he flopped a boat. He improved to an unbeatable quads on the 8♦ turn, and the Q♠ river completed the board. Stoika was down to just under two million, and Ates up to 1,800,000.

At another table, Natan Chauskin won a flip and doubled up with 9x9x against the AxKx of Ottomar Ladva.
