When it folded to Natan Chauskin on the button, he jammed for 775,000, and got looked up by Armin Rezaei from the big blind.
Natan Chauskin: A♠J♥
Armin Rezaei: A♥5♥
Chauskin was ahead with ace-jack versus the suited ace of Rezaei. A clean runout of 9♥3♣K♠7♦A♦ came out for Chauskin, and he stayed alive in the tournament.
Timo Vogt raised from the hijack to 120,000 before Benjamin Lakatos shoved from the cutoff for 420,000. When it folded back to Vogt, he called to put Lakatos at risk.
Benjamin Lakatos: A♦Q♥
Timo Vogt: A♣10♣
Lakatos was ahead with the better kicker and likely to double up. However, a runout of 8♠3♣3♦10♠J♠ gave Vogt the winning hand with a pair of tens. The pot was sent to Vogt, and Lakatos headed to the rail in 24th place.
When it folded to Xuming Qi in the small blind, he jammed for 655,000. Armin Rezaei got an exact count from the dealer, then made the call to try and eliminate Qi.
Xuming Qi: J♥9♣
Armin Rezaei: K♠6♠
Qi needed to connect with the board in some way to beat the king-high of Rezaei.
The dealer revealed a runout of 10♥6♥5♣9♠8♥ to give Qi the best hand with a pair of nines on the turn, and he doubled through Rezaei.
Krasimir Yankov raised to 100,000 from the cutoff and Natan Chauskin defended his big blind.
Both checked the 8♥7♥4♣ flop to see the 2♠ hit the turn. Chauskin led out for 115,000, which Yankov called.
Another round of checks came on the 8♦ river and Chauskin showed a busted draw with Q♥5♥. Yankov turned over king-high holding K♠J♥, and the pot went over to him.
Roman Stoika raised the button and then called the shove of Sondre Stormyr in the small blind, who ripped in around 700,000.
Sondre Stormyr; A♣4♠
Roman Stoika: A♦10♦
Stormyr was dominated, and fell further behind when the K♥10♣5♦ flop hit the felt. A 5♣ sealed the deal as Stormyr was drawing dead, with the inconsequential 4♣ filling out the board.
Armin Rezaei came in with a min-raise to 100,000 from the cutoff and only Fabian Gumz called from the big blind.
Gumz started with a check on the 7♣6♠4♦ flop, which allowed Rezaei to bet 180,000. Gumz elected to continue with a call.
Another check came from Gumz upon seeing the A♣ turn. Rezaei fired a second barrel of 350,000, which Gumz called.
Gumz checked for the final time on the 9♦ river, and after Rezaei burned through a time bank, he jammed for Gumz's remaining 840,000.
Gumz reluctantly called and was shown aces up by Rezaei with A♦7♥. Gumz's 9♣6♣ for an inferior two pair couldn't beat it, and he wished the table good luck before vacating the tournament area.
