Tian Doesn't Want to Flip

Hao Tian and Orhan Ates had both put in 600,000 preflop to see the 10♣3♠10♠ flop, where Ates bet 350,000 from the big blind and Tian called from the hijack.

A J♠ on the turn checked through to the 5♥ river, where again both decided to knuckled it down. Ates flashed ace-king, but Tian's Q♠Q♦ was good for the pot.

"I didn't want to flip with you, I know you have a good hand," said Tian after the hand.

Weiran Pu just sat down at the table and brought along his stack of around 900,000.

"We had two Chinese people, now we have three!" commented Moussa Ahmad on Pu's arrival. who joins his countrymates Tian and Peng Chen on Table #3.

Judet was dominated by Wakil heading to the 7♣A♣5♠ flop, which kept Wakil's king-high ahead. Judet picked up a flush and straight draw when the K♠ hit the turn. Judet found a flush on the 3♠ river, and he doubled up through Wakil.

Stormyr Loses Consecutive Three-Bet Pots

Two hands in succession saw Sondre Stormyr lose three-bet pots, which did some damage to his stack.

In the first hand, Hao Tian opened from the hijack and Stormyr three-bet to 275,000 out of the small blind. Tian then four-bet to 525,000, and Stormyr folded.

In the next hand, Stormyr opened the button and Peng Chen three-bet to 260,000 from the big blind. Stormyr called and then folded to a bet of 250,000 on the 3♦8♠4♦ flop.

Simon had taken a commanding lead with top pair on the flop, and Tamasian needed a nine to survive. The rest of the board ran out 7♠3♠, and all of Tamasian's stack was absorbed into Simon's.

Eric Mizrachi had shoved his short stack from the hijack and Nichan Khorchidian also ripped in his last few big blinds in the cutoff. Krasimir Yankov was in the big blind and called to put them both at risk.

The last of the Mizrachi family in the tournament was calling for an ace, but it didn't arrive on the 7♣5♠J♠ flop. Khorchidian's nines were still in the lead, but Yankov jumped to the front as he paired his king on the K♠ turn. A 10♣ on the river changed nothing, which meant both Mizrachi and Khorchidian hit the rail.

Bezhanyan Busts in the Biggest Pot of the Tournament So Far

Aren Bezhanyan just got eliminated in what was the biggest pot of the tournament so far.

As recalled by another player at the table, Bezhanyan opened the cutoff before Christopher Puetz three-bet out of the small blind. Bezhanyan put out a four-bet, which saw Puetz flat call.

The A♦10♦6♠ flop checked through for the Q♦ to roll off on the turn. Puetz bet, and Bezhanyan shoved over the top for about 1,500,000. Putz snap-called.

Christopher Puetz: 6♦5♦

The turn card improved Bezhanyan to a set, but also upgraded Puetz's hand to a flush. Bezhanyan still could win the pot of around 5,000,000 if the board paired on the river.

The dealer burned a card, then dropped the K♦ on the river, cementing Bezhanyan's elimination. Bezhanyan headed to the cashier's desk, and Puetz moved up to around 5,700,000.
