Day 1b Completed
Day 1b of the $25,750 SHRS Main Event, part of the 2025 Onyx Super High Roller Series hosted by Onyx Club, saw 14 players advance from a field of 93 entries. At the top of the leaderboard was Rahul Byrraju, who bagged 2,430,000 to lead the way into Day 2. Joining him on the podium were ”Kenar” with 2,290,000 and Adrian Strobel with 2,100,000, both well positioned for a deep run inside the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino and Spa.
Two of the top three were involved in a huge pot in the last level of the night, with Strobel's king-queen suited in bad shape against the aces of Byrraju and the pocket kings of Albert Daher. Two diamonds on the flop gave Strobel a flush draw, and he turned another diamond to triple up. Daher couldn't find the one-outer he needed, which meant the huge side pot was shipped Byrraju's way.
Close behind was ”Dubai Police” on 2,050,000 and Naryman Yaghmaie with 1,980,000, rounding out a tightly packed top five. Also earning healthy stacks were Aren Bezhanyan (1,935,000), Gregoire Auzoux (1,880,000), and Aleksandr Chernikov (1,520,000).

Rahul Byrraju had been telling the table about his limping strategy and then put it to use as he limped from under the gun. Albert Daher then raised the cutoff and Albert Daher shoved 645,000 from the button. Byrraju had his stack of around 2,200,000 in there, and Daher completed the party to make it a three-way all-in!
Adrian Strobel: K♦Q♦
Albert Daher: K♥K♣
Rahul Byrraju: A♥A♣
That limped strategy looked to have paid off big time as Byrraju got his chips in good and was a clean runout away from a monstrous stack late in the day.
However, it was Strobel that had a chance to survive as the 2♦3♦3♣ flop gave him a flush draw, which he quickly completed on the 9♦ turn. Nothing changed on the 9♠ river, which meant Strobel tripled up and Daher was out as Byrraju took the side pot.

Giorgiy Skhulukhiya was seen raking in a chunk of chips and sending Aleksei Gortikov to the rail.
Skhulukhiya's A♣Q♣ was face up for all to see on the A♠4♥2♥K♣10♦ board, and Gortikov's stack of around 800,000 was being pushed over and his pocket queens were face down in the muck.
Elsewhere, Damir Zhugralin also just hit the rail along with Jamil Wakil. Only 16 remain!
