Day 2 Completed
The $25,750 SHRS Main Event at the 2025 Onyx Super High Roller Series presented by Onyx Club is down to its final table after another day of poker inside the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino and Spa. From a starting field of 227 entries, just nine players remain in contention for the $1,300,000 top prize from a $5,504,750 prize pool.
"Kenar" will return for tomorrow’s final day as the chip leader with a stack of 15,665,000 after eliminating Manuel Fritz on the final table bubble when his full house bested Fritz’s smaller full house. The survivng players bagged up their chips, with "Kenar" holding almost double the amount of his closest rival.
| Rank | Player | Country | Chip Count | Big Blinds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | "Kenar" | Turkey | 15,665,000 | 131 |
| 2 | Fahredin Mustafov | Bulgaria | 8,850,000 | 74 |
| 3 | Artur Martirosian | Russia | 7,410,000 | 62 |
| 4 | Rahul Byrraju | India | 6,895,000 | 57 |
| 5 | Viacheslav Buldygin | Russia | 6,670,000 | 56 |
| 6 | Aren Bezhanyan | Armenia | 4,410,000 | 37 |
| 7 | Vincent Huang | Australia | 2,845,000 | 24 |
| 8 | Matthew Wantman | United States | 2,790,000 | 23 |
| 9 | Roman Stoika | Russia | 1,230,000 | 10 |
The top three are rounded out by Fahredin Mustafov with 8,850,000 and Artur Martirosian with 7,410,000, both of whom bring plenty of experience to the final day. They are followed by Rahul Byrraju (6,895,000), Viacheslav Buldygin (6,670,000), Aren Bezhanyan (4,410,000), Vincent Huang (2,845,000), and Matthew Wantman (2,790,000), while Roman Stoika (1,230,000) will return in the danger zone with just ten big blinds.
The day began with 47 players returning to the felt and only 34 spots available in the money, and it didn’t take long for the eliminations to come. Among the early casualties were Jamil Wakil, Hassan Nashar, Ren Lin, and Danny Tang, all of whom fell short of the payout line.
It took just two hands of hand-for-hand play before the bubble burst in dramatic fashion, with two eliminations occurring at the same time. At one table, Martirosian’s Big Slick held against the king-queen of Christopher Puetz to send the German out empty-handed. Over at a second table, Fritz’s pocket queens stayed ahead of the ace-king of Ottomar Ladva. With Puetz and Ladva both hitting the rail, the remaining 34 players were guaranteed at least $43,000.
After everyone had locked up some money for their efforts, it didn’t take long for the tournament to be reduced to the final two tables. Along the way, some of the notable exits included Morten Klein, Aleksandr Chernikov, the 2019 WSOP Main Event Champion Hossein Ensan, Jovan Kenjic, and Leonard Maue.
Maue’s run ended in a huge pot against "Kenar" after getting pocket jacks in on a low paired board, only to find "Kenar" had been dealt pocket aces to start the hand. This pot propelled the stack of"Kenar" into eight-figure territory, making him the first player to hit that milestone.
Adrian Strobel fell in 13th place after his ace-queen couldn’t win a flip against the pocket nines of Mustafov, while Jesse Lonis was next out in 12th when Rahul Byrraju backdoored a flush. The aforementioned clash between "Kenar" and Fritz then brought the field down to the final table and ended play for the day.
The final day begins at noon local time on Level 21 with blinds at 60,000/120,000 and a 120,000 big blind ante. Play will continue until a champion is crowned, with all nine finalists guaranteed at least $121,750, but each will have their eyes firmly set on the seven-figure top prize.

"Kenar" raised from the button to 200,000, and Manuel Fritz was the only caller out of the small blind.
Two checks followed the 4♥7♠A♣ flop to see the 7♥ appear on the turn. Fritz checked again, and "Kenar" fired a delayed continuation-bet of 225,000. Fritz continued in the form of a call.
Fritz checked for the last time on the 6♥ river, which allowed "Kenar" to overbet for 1,600,000. Fritz paused for some time, using one of his time banks, before he check-raised to 3,300,000 with just 150,000 remaining.
"Kenar" didn't act right away, but after not too long, he jammed for the rest of Fritz's stack. Fritz happily called, and the players went to a showdown.
Fritz flipped over 4♦4♠ for a full house, fours full of sevens, but this was second best to the A♥7♦ of "Kenar" for a better full house.
Fritz was out in tenth as the final table bubble boy, while the remaining nine players bagged up their chips with "Kenar" holding a huge chip lead.

Vincent Huang raised on the button to 230,000 and Naryman Yaghmaie shoved from the small blind for 745,000. Artur Martirosian was in the big blind and took some time before he shoved, which got Huang to fold.
Naryman Yaghmaie: K♠J♦
Artur Martirosian: 5♠5♦
It was a classic coinflip deep in a tournament, and one that Yaghmaie needed to win to stay alive. The flop of 7♥3♥8♥ kept the pocket fives of Martirosian in the lead, and the 4♣ turn put Yaghmaie one step closer to the rail.
No drama arrived on the river as the 2♥ filled out the board, which meant Yaghmaie was out in 11th.

Rahul Byrraju opened the button to 250,000 and Jesse Lonis shoved from the small blind for around 1,050,000. When it got back to Byrraju, he hesitated for just a few moments before he called.
Jesse Lonis: A♦J♠
Rahul Byrraju: A♥10♥
Lonis was well ahead, and kept his lead through the K♥8♣9♠ flop. Though. he was made to sweat a little as the 2♥ turn gave Byrraju a flush draw. That draw came in when the 3♥ hit the river, which spelled the end for Lonis in 12th.

Adrian Strobel made it 200,000 from the hijack before Fahredin Mustafov three-bet from the button to 500,000. When it got back to Strobel, he four-bet ripped it for 2,000,000, and Mustafov instantly called.
Adrian Strobel: A♥Q♠
Fahredin Mustafov: 9♥9♦
Strobel's Main Event future was to be decided on a flip with his ace-queen against the pocket nines of Mustafov.
There was no assistance for Strobel on the 8♥5♠J♣4♣2♦ runout, and he was out in 13th place.

Fahredin Mustafov raised to 295,000 from the small blind and Roman Stoika defended his big blind.
Mustafov bet around 125,000 on the 4♦3♠A♥ flop, and Stoika continued with a call.
The 10♣ turn caused Mustafov to fire a second barrel of 450,000, which again, Stoika called.
Mustafov jammed for Stoika's remaining 1,400,000 on the appearance of the 4♣ river, and Stoika snap-folded.

Aliaksei Boika opened to 200,000 on the button and Manuel Fritz shoved from the big blind. Boika had around 1,500,000 in his stack and rechecked his card before he called.
Aliaksei Boika: J♥J♣
Manuel Fritz: A♣10♣
Boika was ahead with his pocket jacks, but fell behind on the Q♣10♦A♥ flop as Fritz made top and bottom pair. There was a Broadway draw going for Boika, but he couldn't connect with any of his outs on the 6♣8♥ runout, which left him sidelined in 14th.

Fahredin Mustafov completed from the small blind and Roman Stoika checked his option out of the big blind.
Both players checked a flop of Q♥J♠10♠ to see the 3♣ fall on the turn. Mustafov checked again and then faced a bet of 150,000 from Stoika. Mustafov chose the most aggressive option available as he check-raised to 650,000. Stoika continued in the form of a call.
Another two checks followed a Kx on the river, and Mustafov turned over K♦4♣ for a rivered pair of kings. It was good to win him the pot as Stoika launched his cards into the muck.
