Yaghmaie Flops Trips to Double

Level 19 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The action folded around to Leonard Maue in the small blind, who dropped a load of chips into the pot. Naryman Yaghmaie was in the big blind and put in his stack of 705,000.

Naryman Yaghmaie: A5 All in
Leonard Maue: 87

Maue had a suited connector, but the 5K5 flop all but sealed the deal for Yaghmaie as he flopped trips. Those trips turned into a full house on the K turn, which left Maue calling for a king to chop.

Instead, the 9 rolled off, and Yaghmaie doubled up.

"Kenar" opened the cutoff to 175,000 and Leonard Maue three-bet to 640,000 out of the small blind. Kayhan Mokri was in the big blind and shoved for 1,600,000. which got "Kenar" to quickly fold. Mokri seemed pleased that Maue didn't snap call and celebrated a little, then Maue called.

Kayhan Mokri: AK All in
Leonard Maue: KQ

Mokri was mad at himself for celebrating too early, but he didn't have much to worry about on the 389 flop. A 9 on the turn left him one step closer to a double-up, but the Q river ended his tournament in 20th.

"Yup," said Mokri. "I shouldn't have celebrated."

Adrian Strobel: KK All in
Gregoire Auzoux: A9

The River Sends Assi to the Exit

Level 18 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Salah Assi
Salah Assi

Starting with a stack of around 1,000,000, Salah Assi raised to 125,000 under the gun. The table folded all around to Aren Bezhanyan in the big blind, who jammed to put Assi all in. Assi called, and the cards were tabled.

Salah Assi: 99 All in
Aren Bezhanyan: KJ

Assi's pocket nines stayed ahead of Bezhanyan's king-jack on the 10106 flop and 5 turn. However, the K peeled off on the river to give Bezhanyan the winning hand with top pair.

The pot was sent to Bezhanyan, while Assi bashed the table in frustration at being eliminated.
