Bellande Wins His First Pot; Yong Shows the Goods

Thomas Eychenne raised K♣Q♦ from early position and only Jean-Robert Bellande called from the button.

Eychenne decided to check-fold versus Bellande's bet of 200,000 on the 9♥5♦6♣ flop.

The next hand, Rob Yong raised from early position to 350,000, and Artur Martirosian called with K♥9♦ in the big blind.

Both players checked all the way to the river on the 7♣6♠4♥A♣10♠ runout, and after Martirosian checked for the last time, Yong bet 450,000. Martirosian folded, and Yong revealed A♠J♣ for a pair of aces.

Aerts Spikes a One-Outer to Take a Big Chip Lead

Rob Yong raised to 320,000 in middle position and was called by Pieter Aerts in the cutoff, as well as Jean-Robert Bellande and Biao Ding in the blinds.

The flop came Q♦3♠3♣ and Bellande led out for 400,000. Only Aerts called.

Bellande bet another 1,600,000 on the J♦ turn, and Aerts again called. The river was the 9♠ and Bellande bet 2,500,000, but this time Aerts came back with an all-in shove for 5,890,000.

Bellande took a few minutes before calling with Q♠J♣ for two pair, but Aerts had J♠J♥ for a full house to win the massive pot and take over the chip lead.

Ladev Shoves the Turn on Iakobishvili

Gha Iakobishvili raised to 320,000 with 9♥9♣ in the cutoff and Markkos Ladev was the only caller out of the small blind holding 5♥5♦.

Ladev started with a check on the J♣2♣5♠ flop, and Iakobishvili continued for 365,000. Ladev chose to check-raise to 950,000, which Iakobishvili called.

Upon seeing the 8♦ arrive on the turn, Ladev jammed for 3,045,000. With less than a big blind more than Ladev, Iakobishvili was visibly distressed by the spot he was in, and used up a few of his time banks before opting to return his cards to the dealer, and give up the pot to Ladev.

Jean-Robert Bellande then raised to 240,000 under the gun and Pieter Aerts called in the small blind.

Both players checked the Q♠9♣4♣ flop. Aerts then led out for 240,000 on the J♥ turn, and Bellande called.

The river was the Q♣ and Aerts bet 900,000. Bellande quickly called with Q♦10♣ for trips, but Aerts had Q♥9♥ for a full house to win the big pot.

Mateos Loses a Flip to Bust Before the Final Table

Adrian Mateos came in for a raise to 240,000 from the cutoff before Pieter Aerts three-bet to 525,000 from the button. Mateos looked back at his cards and then ripped it all in for 2,510,000. Aerts made the call to put Mateos at risk.

Mateos needed his pocket nines to hold up against the big slick of Aerts. However, the 6♠7♠A♠ flop put Aerts firmly in the lead with a pair of aces.

A 10♦ on the turn gave Mateos a straight draw and a few extra outs, but none of them came when the 6♥ completed the board.

Mateos was out in tenth, and the final table for the $100,000 High Roller Championship was set.

Artur Martirosian min-raised the button to 240,000 and Thomas Eychenne defended from the big blind.

The dealer fanned out a flop of A♠8♣A♦ and Eychenne started with a check. Martirosian bet 140,000 and was met by a check-raise to 620,000 from Eychenne. Martirosian called to see at least one more card.

Eychenne slowed down and checked the 6♠ turn, allowing Martirosian to fire out for 550,000. Eychenne called.

Check, check came after the 10♠ river and Eychenne tabled the winner with A♣3♥ for trips. Martirosian mucked K♦10♦ for a pair of tens on the river.
